Anyone ever been for an STD test?

Right this subject is kindof taboo with people around my age, so I can't really ask anyone I know, so gonna try here.

So has anyone ever been for one? What happens? Whats involved?

I'm going for one tomorow, cause frankly I am shitting myself big time, had a unprotected one night stand.

I have this terrible feeling, seriously the worst feeling I've had ever in my life hanging over my head right now, the thought of having caught something serious.

I never really thought of this stuff until now, never caught anything before, but recently a friend of mine had a HIV scare, so I am freaked out now, and if I get the all clear, I wont ever consider having sex again without protection.

Well you are getting tested which is the main thing, you live and learn.

Fear not about going for the test, if you are generaly quite confident then it wont be a problem at all once you are there. There will be a long queue of people all there for the same reason pretty much, you won't stand out, (hrhr) no one will stare or think you are wierd etc. You will just disapear into the masses.

Its kinda like any other queue/waiting room except u know all the people in this one got laid recently (u look at some and wonder how and who would mind)

They can text u the results so you dont have to go back and the doctors have seen it all before and are happy that u are there not what u look like with your dick out. They will test you for pretty much everything btw.

The only advice I would give is get there early, like maybe 7:00am to get a ticket, they are known to turn people away if there are too many people there.

the test itself isnt as bad as ppl make out, its not an umbrella they stick down your knob its a tiny cotton bud, hardly feel it, then a blood test. Plus you get shit loads of free condoms thats a result in itself

Had a long term girlfriend and when I was much younger I worried more so I went for a check up to make sure all was in order as I wanted to make sure myself and her were 'clean' so to speak so we could occasionally loose the protection ..

All goes fine , I went to a chick doctor, prefer that to a man . She had a look , checked under the hood so to speak, then it happened . DOOM . A FUCKING Cottom bud ..

Not just a cotton bud, an industrial sized this is to pleasure horses cotton bud . Its called the swab test, the put it down your tool ( just inside ) to get like a wet sample I suppose to send a way etc. Doesnt hurt but just was a bit shocked when I looked down and saw her attack my python with a Gladiator stick ..

its all good and worth the trip whether you are worried or not . At least you know for a future partner that at this time in life , you have nothing and its a reassurance you can get oral etc without giving the one you care about ( or dont in some cases ) a bad rash or worse

But I think the embarassment etc of going for one is a small price to pay when you consider the alternatives.

I'm sure most people will prefer a doctor of the same gender to administer the test. But doctors have seen penises and vaginas of all shapes and sizes and they're gonna be very professional and they will try to make the experience as quick as possible. They know you're gonna feel wierd about it and they'll reassure you as best as they can.

My brother in law is a surgeon. They've seen it all. Its just a part of the body and its just another day at work for them. Try to think of something else while its being done. Like sitting on a beach drinking.
