Any PC Game Ideas?

Hello eveyone. RW here. Just wondering if any of you had any ideas for a new pc game. Whether it be totally original or combiniing games, tell me if it is good.
I think combining the slowdown feature and storytelling style of Max Payne with the ease of play and length of game in Half Life would make a kick ass game. Also throwing in a cool storyline like in Hitman:Codename 47 would be nice.
Let me know your thoughts....

My idea of a perfect game is a MMOG of Desert Combat. nothing like a war game using todays technology, and even better for it to be in a MMOG enviroment

Similar to what adams said.

After playing WW2 Online, then Battlefield 1942, I would like to see a combination of the two with the best of both worlds, i.e. a MMOG with FPS capabilities and the gameplay experienced in BF 1942.

Overall, there would be resource limits like proposed in WW2 Online, so there would be a limit to the amount of spawns, but resupply, repair and recovery will be like BF1942, incluing the use of ammo trucks and halftracks as supply wagons.

Additionally, vehicles would get realistic properties, correct ammunition loadouts and credible crew positions, so it would take 2 people to accurately man a tank, as driving and gunning would be separate.

Also a lot more vehicles and the WW2OL concept of separate truck/halftrack and towed gun.

Balance of power would be on the infantryman, as with WW2OL they would be the only ones capable of flag capture, and they would be unlimited by supply. Furthermore there would be specific classes beyond the 5 BF1942 ones, i.e. Pilot, Sailor, Tank Crew, Artilleryman, Driver, which restrict who can use what.

There could be an RPG aspect to it, requiring certain skills to use certain vehicles or weapons, or spawn certain classes, however, WW2OL was great without the RPG aspect, so maybe not.

I'd prefer to see this applied to WW2 era weaponry, the problem with modern warfare is you'd never get the full range included, most aircraft would be far too fast for even the largest BF1942 map and artillery would have very extreme ranges, I feel gameplay AND realism is improved by having accurate representations the of WW2 era.

I remember when I read about Wing Commander Prophecy - I had got into playing Quake II online by then - I kinda had dreams that there would be some kind of squad/clan based multiplayer to it. I mean, MMOG hadn't been invented then but something like that where you could plan your movements as peaceful/warmongering as you wished with no time limit or constraints, where the targets are purely those that other players create. The oppotunity to develop an empire and where real peoples personalitys and decisions reflect the universe.

It would be sufficiently large that no one person could effective rule it all, the laws of real life politics and empire would apply. Also, only those who really cared for the game would be able to exert that much influence since they would have to command the genuine respect of those around them.

Space combat/existance has infinite possibilities tbh - you'd need some NPCs in there to start with or else there'd be nothing to play against, but as the number of players goes up so the NPCs disappear and make way for real play.

It's a shame that such games aren't really flavour of the month at the moment. I mean, Freelancer kinda passed off without much of a blip?

Anyway, that is my idea. It would need some pretty major concept clarification though - as you can probably tell.

How about a game like the Sims but more real. Where you get up and go to work each day, come home, kiss the wife and kids, make tea etc. Your character could even spend some of his/her spare time, say, on the "internet", posting in forums, playing "games". You could get made redundant and kill yourself. Your character could get a tax investigation and have all his "stuff" taken away and sold, like his car and hi-fi and com..

Here's a radical idea. Why not release a new kind of game that costs, say, £35 quid and then requires you to download a massive patch a week later to make it work? Oh wait.....

Out of interest what do people do if they haven't got internet access for a patch for Splinter Cell or BF? It's bit rum really innit?

Most people won't need the SC patch for the game to function. Unlike bf1942 where the game was a complete disgrace after release until the first "real" path came out.
