Hrafninn flýgur (1984)

"Revenge of the barbarians"...

Been planning on seeing this one for a few years actually now... is it worth it?

Ah, sorry Lakih! I missed this post, and made my own with a link to the same movie. Ahem, anyway. Yes, it's a good movie. It shows it's not a huge hollywood production, but it's got a cool story and some graphic stuff in it. And it shows vikings as they probably were, without horned helmets and such. Oh, and fighting over a stranded whale. :D

I can't be bothered to look up "proof" at work, but they were called mormons back then via followers of mormon, the prophet living back then.

Mate, the book of Mormon wasn't written untill the 19th century, so they can't have been following a prophet who hasn't been invented yet.

another vote for Thirteenth Warrior, its not amazing but not bad by any means
Also Beowulf is ok

The Vikings; Kirk Douglas
Is worth a watch if you are bored

The Warlord; Charlton Heston
Its ok but again nothing amazing

The Runestone; Peter Riegert
Horror movie, not exactly viking but i thought it was ok

The Viking Sagas:
Storyline isnt amazing but lots of fighting

And again i tell you, mormon wasn't a prophet "invented" in the 19th century...he lived around 400ad if i remember correctly.
