Just wondering because ive gone to look for one some nights and not being able to get in contact with them.

If the eyes and ears have all sodded off to wow can we have some new people who actually play the game.

Its frustrating to having to go searching for support when needed at a time when right now really cant help.

Like with Massive lag spikes taking out a group member and wondering if a gm could bring him back to the dungeon as these lag are group wide.

There are some gaps in the E&E program and we're looking into filling those at the moment. We were planning to do this last week but I was out of the office for a few days and, of course there's a lot of work to be done on Catacombs. We'll be sending out some invites to the team over the next week or so. These will go to people who's details we kept from a previous application.

Ideally we want 4-6 reasonably active E&Es per realm/server. Currently we're some way below that. In the meantime, if you can't find an E&E on your server, there's always the #E&E channel on quakenet, you can send in a Rightnow as we see those in realtime so if it's urgent, there's a good chance it'll get acted on straight away or you can contact us via these forums. I don't guarantee to read these forums all the time though while I do constantly monitor RightNow when I'm in the office. Don't PM me for anything that should go through RightNow, unless it's gamestopping and urgent, I'll just tell you to send it there.

Nope. I've also looked through all the GM's inboxes to see if there are any outstanding queries and there aren't. My guess is that one of two things has happened.
1: You sent it to the subs email address or used the technical support category. These go to a different team and, as it's an ingame issue, they need to forward it to us. It's possible that's not happened yet.
2: You have had a reply and either your mail client or your ISP has eaten it. Replies from RightNow come from a noreply email address which some filters reject as spam. Check your junk folder as well as your spam and privacy filters.

I had no email from Rightnow and don't have junk mail enabled.

If i log onto my Rightnow area, I can see the question as "unresolved", with my initial question, and my update. The ticket number is...

While writing this post I got a reply

Just incase there was something wrong you might want to check the difference in time (13 days) between asking the question and getting a reply on ticket number [Incident: 050210-000193].

I can become an E&E.

I haven't really played any char over 24, haven't played at all in toa, don't know anything about NF, DF or any add-ons like foundations. I really know only a little about the classes, basic stuff, don't know absolutely anything about how the servers work or how on earth lag happens. I'm really not familiar with any character skills, except those that i accidently stumbled upon while playing three realms and almost every character. I rarely used /loc and all those numbers really made my head hurt. I'm kinda, KINDA familiar in where all the towns, trainers and shops are. Well atleast the towns. All i really know about questing is that there's two steps, get one and do one. Epics just blow me away. Actually i don't even have a computer to play daoc on, or even have a working subscription anymore....

But i'm a people person.

There are currently plenty of E&E's available to contact in the E&E channel. However, we do have other things to do than constantly camping the channel for messages on a friday night at half past nine. So next time, please state your problem immediately, please drop the attitude, and please wait a little longer than less than 3 minutes if you want a serious reply back. Remember, we are volunteers who are prepared to help people in our spare time, we are not employed by GOA and we are human.

Well its tiring was in the middle of the ml5 raid the whole raid was lagging badly and one member ld on the boat died in the middle of the river. I was trying to find an E&E or a GM or someone who could have just said NO cant help you.

But after asking for 3 mins in bg there is a timer for someone to release in the end solved it myself.

I dont have the attitude problem its the people who think that because they are mods or in the click group of the IRC channels they think they are above the rest of us.

I was trying to do it for someone on the raid maybe next time there is a problem or a situation i shouldnt bother seeking help and should just tell people to get stuffed. Wouldnt make me a very good person if i told people that because of the Server side/Opentransit what ever lag that caused.

And it surprised me that because your response here was quicker than your responce in IRC then it goes to show where certain E&E's are hanging out.

It's hard to say "yes" or "no" when the problem isn't stated. No matter how much time is left, again, if E&E's are doing other things on a friday night, your issues/questions/remarks will be dealt with if possible, or acknowlegded and passed on when GM's are available if not, when they are read.

I dont see how your implication of me spending more time on FH than in the E&E is valid at all, or relevent, or true. I noticed this post days ago and just thought I'd reply.

As for the rest of what you wrote, you should find some explanations in my previous post. If not, then I didn't find it worth my time replaying to your baseless accusations and implications.

Who are the volunteers ?

It is important to highlight first and foremost that the volunteers are players like any other. They have chosen to become more involved in the game and have received GOA's approval. They have no obligations whatsoever and are absolutely free to play without fulfilling volunteer tasks. Therefore, they are to respect the rules of conduct, with no particular advantage compared to other players. The volunteers are often in contact with the Community Managers and therefore can convey the opinions of other players on a particular topic. Note that the volunteers are in no way employed by GOA.

What do the volunteers do ?

The volunteers can use permanent or temporary NPCs, after approval by the Community Manager. These characters are created by the Community Manager, they all have a detailed ID with physical characteristics, background, expectations and motivations. This ID helps the volunteer controlling the NPC, to know how to play him/her, what he/she can or will never do… These characters are not the property of the volunteers and can therefore be destroyed at any moment. They are there to enhance the universe in which your characters evolve. This is why you can meet an innkeeper talking about his latest quarrels with clients, a minstrel telling tales of ancient sagas and many other NPCs who improve the roleplay and atmosphere.

Important : when using their own characters, the volunteers have no particular ability and are considered normal players. Their characters are not improved or favored in any way.

Can the volunteers help me ?

The volunteers do not act as substitutes for the technical support. They are not here to answer technical questions, so do not ask them. Nevertheless, you can ask questions on the story of their character or realm. Do keep in mind that volunteers are players and can only tell you about what their characters know. If you encounter problems while playing or with the game itself, the best solution is always to contact the customer support.

However, the irc channel was founded a while ago for volunteers who, such as myself, would like to help those in need of help. I, personally, and this may not count for all E&E's in that channel, keep an eye on the channel whenever I'm not playing a game or doign anything else fullscreen. I play daoc in windowed mode so I can check IRC channels, #E&E is one of them. I enjoy doing this, but that doesn't guarantee me always to be there.

yes i understand the volenteers have a life but in recent months its been harder and harder to get hold of any e&e either on prydwen or excalibur.

My point why i started this post and which the gms answered were that they were looking into the current situation.

You started the thread by posting what i said in the IRC channel but there has been situations where i have gone looking for an e&e and not been able to find any either on irc or in game.

The thing that is quite misleading is all the names down the left hand side of the channel to me that says your online and available. Ive asked before and waited 10 mins with no reply in the end im not questioning your willingness to help im questioning the Point of a channel that isnt helpful or useful when needed. It would be far better just to remove the channel and then i wouldnt assume that there was help there like i did tonight.

IF i came across as short i apologise but i was in a hurry was on a time frame and i didnt want to keep 30+ people waiting around either a yes or no or even a message saying noone was online would have been more beneficial.
