Any chance for a Quake2 NIQ-Server on BW?

Hi there

I am desperatly looking for an NIQ-Server but since last week the last one seems to have closed down.

How do you people think about the NIQ-Mod? Would some of you enjoy playing on a server if BW would set up one or should i right now stop my efforts to get such a server back to live?

Well, I tried NIQ and thought it was a bit boring to be honest. It was a long time ago and the server will be long dead I imagine.

Well... i would not use the term boring when i refer to NIQ. You are right that it does not offer as many facets as other Quake2 Mods, but it has its own good sides.

I.E the fights are very even and usually very quick. Even players with bad ping can be quite good (as longs as they are skilled enough that is) since one hit is in most cases one kill.

Most people probably don't and won't play NIQ all that often, but i think that it is really a nice mod to realx, to forget aobut timing and all the sometimes really anyoing tactics. It's just connecting to the server and having some fun.
