The best one is always when women come back from the toilet having put their handbag on the toilet floor, put their bag on the desk to get their food out and proceed to eat their food from the desk with the pooey toilet floor bag on it. That one always grossed me out. Never put my food on a work desk again after I thought about that one.

The Associated Press: UK's attempts to stop swine flu called flawed

This article mirrors my thoughts on the subject exactly.

Its been clear from the start that the numbers were being 'managed' - they have even failed to test a lot of people who most probably had it i.e. ones who came back from Mexico then fell sick with cold/fever symptoms.

Thats the best way of reducing the figures since you cant then be found to be concealing results. Other suspicions rest on the timing of big jumps in the numbers - these are most often at the weekend - notably sundays when the markets are shut :p

Why should the testing output of the labs suddenly increase at the weekend? - it doesnt really make a lot of sense.

Its not just the UK doing it though - Mexican figures are probably worthless now since it started financially costing them a lot.

Even the US is starting to scale back testing - mainly because once you have as many cases as they do (CDC estimated 100,000 US citizens have now been exposed ) whats the point? Its clear they have a real epidemic there now.
