Anti buffbot week?

What do you guys say about not using buffbots for the entire week to come, starting on monday the 3rd of feb? Wouldn't it be fun to have a higher chance of not running into a char that's buffed like super(wo)man?

Your regular groups will still be buffed, but those 1on1 encounters will be more fun and you'll appreciate that extra <insert stat/skill here> that you got from that item you crafted/found or purchased from that greedy merchant *grins* which allowed you to finally kill that pesky <insert class/name here (but as usual we all blame derric)>

If the crowd goes "Yay!" then we'll start informing our various alliances of this and hope that they'll give in for the fun of it.

I'v enoticed a few people have started to carry there buffbots around. Grats to you. More of the same please. Lets see the BB's disappear. Surely you have enough ra's by now to still have an advantage. Can we please also stop posting names of "best xxx" when plenty of them are buffbot users. That only encourages it. If you havent tried being uberbuffed then you dont understand that uberbuffed vs non buffed = virtually impossible

i took out a lvl50 skald when i was uberbuffed lvl 42 warrior so buffs do a difference

I'd be willing to give it a go not that I RvR much anyway at the moment though.

BTW the difference buff bots make is somewhat overexagerated, they do sway a battle but not as much as some might think - ask Malevolencia how much difference my buffs made vs being unbuffed in a duel with her. Buff bots don't turn you into superman, you don't get the skin tight red and blue outfit for starters

imo buffbots do make a HUGE difference +450 hp with ip thats a 900 hp adantage and assasins evade alot more i mean wtf can i do vs an assasin that evades 5 hits in a row? not alot and as for no buffbot week would be fun but some people wont pay attention to it and just end up annoying others so theyd get out their buffbots etc think solo is now impossible whenever i try the only people i ever find are fully buffed

Doesn't the whole buff-bot thing get looked at in a later patch?
Something is changed whereby you have to be in a certain range of the buffer?

i.e. conc-based buffs are given a certain range you have to be within or they drop so that you can't have a buffbot in an Emain Portal Keep then sod off and camp the other Portal Keep with your uber-buffed gimp

Not sure about this, maybe just a rumour <shrugs>.

It´s just a rumour and an idea that has been implemented in game in any patch yet.

Well the better idea would be to have buffs either just get inactivated while out of range or diminish in effect the further you are from the buffer. To just have them drop would be so freaking annoying.

The shame of it is its not just the infs in Albion that use them, now you go to DF and all you see are people powerlvling their buff botts in good exp spots forcing people who need the exp to try and find other places. One or two in Lyonesse or Barrows was not to bad as you could always go to somewhere like DF but not any more.

Yeah but when you kill someone while you're uberbuffed, does it really make you feel good .. knowing that you "cheated" ?

The reward is so much greater when you manage to kill someone because of your specc/items/rr and good play rather than having 250+ in all stats from a buffbot (the stats that matter of coz).
