Eh - nope.

Hasn't happened again since and I have run 3 days in a row now. I am on a strict diet and losing weight, drinking lots of water. I think maybe it was the fact that I hadn't run for months properly owing to a family crisis and had put on a good stone, and all around the belly. Consequence of that was super tight new running trousers. Could be I irritated the bladder. Clutching at straws maybe but on searching the internet other runners have had something similar through damaging the bladder. Nothing at all is happening now so hopefully it has gone away. No pain anywhere. Running again today for a long run - 10 miles or more - so we will see then.

Still not worth risking is it? Going to the doctors is hardly much effort. Just because there are no symptoms right now it doesn't mean you are fine. As someone said it could be serious.

I must have a very different outlook on life to most. Not exactly in the first flush of youth now - 52. Can still run and win races when fully fit which is incredible. Apart from that if my time has come it has come. If I don't face it now I have to face it at sometime in the future. Morbid outlook maybe but I just lost a very close member of my family to cancer and to be honest she would have been better off going sooner rather than later.

Go to the doctors? Ok I will have to if it comes back. Fat lot of good it did my relative though. Even if you have cancer or something very serious what do you do about it? Months and months of horrible treatment? Not for me. Rather go out quickly.

Funny thing getting older. You don't realize you are getting older until you make some videos of yourself playing a guitar and see an old man with grey hair.

Anyways I find life a hard stuggle. Ain't that bothered if it ends soon. If it doesn't and I live to be a very old man then great. Either way I am prepared.

Morbid is the word!

Here is a light hearted guitar video to offset this topic's mood.

Gotta disagree there fella - if you've ever seen someone die from any form of thorassic cancer, the treatment is infinitely preferable to the agonising (a friend i know was shot twice while in the army still reckons it's the most painful thing he's ever experienced) and usually fairly slow death.
