Yer but I guess dozens of european children are sad aswell and you don't hear of shootings that often. In the US, getting shot at school will soon be as common as having a deadly accident or what?

Well if it keeps climbing at this rate, very possibly.

I think, that in Europe, and in the UK, there is more of a "helping" school staff, people are more open with their problems, there are no real social pressures, or "clicks" that make you NEED to belong in some group.

And also, guns are a "bit" harder to obtain around these parts.

But, let's do the sensible thing; not blame society, parenting problems, lack of "asking what kids feel", or gun control, but lets just accuse media.

And before someone comes in with it, no, i'm not saying that the kids don't have problems for doing this, and that they are not to blame, but kids don't grow up to be violent shooters on their own. Blame is not that simple here.

Its weird i dont really care about it either, i think the stabbings that go on here are far worse, maybe its cause its closer to home and not the other side of the world

I was almost stabbed once!

I was on the bus back from college, first few days after I'd started, someone sitting next to me was wearing a manchester united top, I made some tongue in cheek remark and he suddenly goes tomato red with bulging eyes, takes something out of his bag (a knife) and waves it at me - one of those 'rambo' hunting knifes, looked real enough from 5" away - and, with his eyes going japanese siezure robot style crazy, says in a choked whisper "IF YOU EVAR INSULT MY TEAM AGAIN I WILL KILL YUO!!!"

Needless to say I didnt sit next to that guy on the bus home anymore! rofl

I will pay attention when the first kid takes some grenades into school, but then I'm sure I will stop caring after a few of those.

tris-, nothing wrong in not giving a flying meatball about it.

I don't really either, i actually explained why we don't give a f*ck on another thread. Survival of own tribe, protection of functional thinking/behavior, etc.

People blaming guns, are as wrong about it, or "bad", as people blaming video games. Any sole blame throwing in a situation where a kid, gets a gun, goes to school and shoots people, before suiciding...has hell of a lot going on then just Halo 205 or a gun borrowed from granddad.
