Kenny, stay out of this thread.

I will spoiler everything, and if you unclick the spoilers and read them anyway then I will stamp on your eyes with pointy shoes.

Additional words added here so that you can't read inside the spoiler tags when you hover over the thread name.

Blah blah.

Hey guys! :) I want to take Kenny away to Prague for a couple of days this month for his birthday, and was wondering if any of you have been before? Where you stayed? Where you wouldn't stay even if Angelina Jolie was waiting to meet you there? Where you booked your trip through? If it's worth going? If it's only worth going to during the week because at weekends it is full of drunk brits?

You'll have to re-post in spoilers too, because bloke in incapable of restraint. This is the guy who has his christmas presents wrapped up inside blankets to mask the shape, and laced with matchboxes full of lentils to add an artificial rattle, because otherwise he guesses exactly what is inside, and then gets sad that there is no mystery.

Kenny, if you have read this far, your presents have now been magically replaced with gifts that your Mum would choose for you. Hah. You lose.

Cheers guys. Thanks will be expressed through the medium of limericks.

No, because you'll discover in advance that I am mightily crap at limericks, and it will have the opposite effect.

I have a mate who went to a bar and bought a wimmens a couple of glasses of Champers, just to be nice (hes not the kind to cheat). Only he was actually buying a couple of bottles, which he didn't know about. When presented with the £200 bill he told them to fuckoff, and left. Only for a very large man to grab his shoulder on the street, and march him to a cashpoint for the money.

That was in Prague.

That would happen anywhere though... I would make sure my doormen walked the person to a cashpoint if that happened (this happened with some polish guys not too long ago). Make sure of what you're buying before you agree in a foreign country!

Okay, well I'll have to remember when I'm over there on a romantic break with my man not to accidentally go into a
titty bar
and then inadvertently buy champagne for
two exotic dancers.
Heh.

Well, if nothing else, that should get Kenny wondering...

Fighting with badgers at 5am
will not be happening i take it? - anyway... I have been a couple of times.. Not sure of your budget but I can reccomend http://imperial.prague-hostels.cz/ as a clean hostel (no frills but cheap though!) it also houses an amazing art deco cafe on the ground floor that at night has a plate of about 50 doughnuts that you can buy (yep the whole plate) and then do whatever you want with... eat / throw / sculpt / etc... - the place gets trashed, its wicked :flame: (its also about 2 minutes from the main square in the old town)
and thats how the warts.....
One tip is dont get a cab from the airport - get one of the shared minibus's - called 'cedak's' (you wont miss them) they charge about £2.50 each to take you directly to your hotel/hostel where as a taxi costs about £20-25!!
But not gouda - ewwww no!!!!
Its a great place, you'll love it, if you can stomach the big walk up the hill go see the cathedral (for a small fee you can go up the spire!), but the best bit? the local beer is still very cheap - about 60-70p per 1/2 litre!!
and thats why you never take salami on a train
