My other sister (easy Trem...) has two three month old twins and wants to capture them growing up on a decent camcorder.
I know nothing about camcorders, I don't know what people want from them or what more money buys you apart from obvious things. She's got a budget of £300 max and she's a complete noob, but she wants something decent that will do her a good few years.
I've had a look at what's out there and I've a reasonable candidate.
For ~£280 - Canon LEGRIA FS20 Flash Memory Camcorder - Canon UK
The LEGRIA FS20 looks pretty sexy, very compact, records straight to flash memory, has electronic image stabilisation, has USB 2.0 to transfer the movies to the PC. It's not HD, but for less than £300 it seems to fit the bill and is within budget. It's also a Canon, and I trust Canon.
Anyone have any advice on this? What should I be looking for? What does a more expensive model get me? Any other recommendations?
