Oioi, I'm working a ton of overtime this month and I want to spend my hard earned cash on an iPod or iPod mini. I was wondering the pro's and con's of a normal iPod, or the mini version.
Also everyone at my sixth form says not to use the headphones because people mug you, is that true?
Wheres the cheapest place to get hold of one? I think the 10gb one is ok for me.

Cheers! :D

I could be wrong but I think they stopped making the 10gb version they just make the 15gb 20gb and 40gb models. Pro's and con's are pretty basic - the mini ipod is smaller comes in different colours but only has 4gb of space, normal ipod is bigger, comes in one colour but has more space :)
There are some sneaky muggers out there and the ipod headphones are pretty distinctive so you could be targeted if a mugger spots you with them, means you have at least £200 worth of equipment on you, same thing if you where spotted with an expensive phone, personally I have a 20gb model and I don't use the headphones supplied if I'm sitting on a train or something :)
As for cost you can probably pick up a 15gb model for about £225 and an ipod mini for about £200.

Don't think I'll bother with the mini one then, if its less space and more costly.
Reckon I should get it from Dixons or am I bound to find a better deal online? :)

ROFL - Don't touch the Dixons Store Group with a bargepole tbh! Prices will be much cheaper online and you don't have to explain to some muppet what you want and No thank you I really don't want a 4 year extended warrenty for only 50% what I'm paying for the ipod.

£223.25 is the cheapest on there, probably about the best price you will get.

I bought mine from PC WORLD (Dixons group) and I bought the 3 year warrenty (£50). It covers 12 months for theft. Also if it fails for any reason, including inability to charge (thats a certainty within 18 months) then they will replace it with a new iPOD. Cheaper than buying the battery online (£ about 50) and doing it yourself or sending it off for even more money.
