I think Mr Mcdonald should spend more time recording himself being gang banged. Got sympathy for the bloke, you can see all the ants clambering around waiting for a space to walk into.

Huh?

Anyway whats missing is the start - apparently the old guy was on a train that terminated there - not realising he was late to get off and got his arm caught in the door (which would actually be Pony tail man's fault but hey).

He then goes to complain to Pony tail who starts swearing at him - the old guy plus other passengers tell him to calm down and then the vid cuts in.

Anyone shocked by that would have to lead a sheltered existence.

Tom, I'm not following; you're saying that's par for the course for the tube? Do you think it's acceptable?

I don't find it acceptable, but I can understand where the guy is coming from.

I'm not a Londoner and must have led a sheltered life because I was astonished. People have been seriously injured for far less provocation than that Tube worker's attitude. There are many people who wouldn't hesitate to lay him out for that (I'm not one of them).

It just underlines my opinion that people who live and work in the city are inconsiderate fuckwits. They have to be that way to get ahead in business, and so they can't help themselves when they're outside the workplace.
(Paraphrasing Clive Owen from 'Shoot Em Up').

No I don't think its acceptable, but I'm surprised that such a thing is news.

Of course its news. The public love it when the unions paint themselves in a poor light, helps fuel the "us" v "them" wars etc.

I was more surprised with;

Boris Johnson put a response on Twitter: "Appalled by the video. Have asked TfL to investigate urgently. Abuse by staff is never acceptable."

Twitter....blagargraaaah!

I'd go a step further, Toh, and say that *anyone* in government or upper business echelons is banned from using any internet communication outlet other than official email and blog :/

Let's say it like this; if you want to hold a credible stance and seem like a professional, twitter and facebook should never come up in any discussion.

Unless it's "How can we make more money out of twitter and facebook" :D

Yup

I bet the worker who's just resigned as a result of this will sue for constructive dismissal.

Politicians should keep their mouths shut here - they often state their opinion loudly and proudly and the lawyers love it. By what BJ has done this fella's position is untenable.

Not that I think he's being mistreated here. I know what it's like working with the public in congested areas but the minute you lose your temper you've lost.
