another complaint

Finally got around to updating my master servers list today and played on a BW server for the first time in months. What did I come across? 3, count that again, 3 wallhacking aimbotters in league with each other, I've never seen such obvious cheating before in all the time I've been playing, yet nobody was complaining. Therefore nobody went to get one of those people that claim to help you fight the cheats, you know those admin people. I couldn't be arsed so I left plus I have no way of contacting them anyway. If this is how its going to be then I'm going back to the laggy servers of Jolt, lag I can deal with, but cheaters that enjoy cheating just piss me off.

If you cant be bothered to get an admin, dont expect anyone else to either, and dont moan about it later.

The fact that no one is saying anything is probably a good thing, maybe an admin was actually there?

Get in with the 'crowd', then they will listen to you.

Don't expect a 10 minute watch of a suspected cheater by 2-3 admins unless your name 'fits'

Oh they were definately cheating and they weren't trying to hide it in anyway. they stood in front of walls with AWMs and sniped through the walls. As I said I've never seen anyone so obviously cheating.
And as for getting an admin, I did have IRC on my comp but for some reason it didn't work and I deleted it from my hard drive in anger and really don't want to have to bother with it again. Besides I've heard the stories.

Unfortunatly, you really need IRC to get an admin - go get it again.

tried three servers today and more cheaters. It seems to be becoming a trend to cheat then admit to it recently. Some twat was 60 for 4 before he dropped and openly admitted to cheating.

I havent played on any BW servers for ages, but I was just on dual duster tonight and there was a guy tracking people through walls so blatently it was comical. Nobody seemed to mind apart from me (he was on my own team btw) and when I voiced my opinion using somewhat colourfull language, Imagine my surprise to be threatened with being banned for abusive language!?! I couldn't adam and eve it... Not only was the admin allowing it to carry on, but was having a pop at me for complaining! I stayed for about 15 mins after that, but he never got kicked despite his blatant behaviour so I went and found another server elsewhere.

So the rule now seems to be that you can wallhack as much as u like, just as long as you dont swear. And if thats the attitude then you might as well whack all the latest cheats in the download section so people can at least get back to an even playing field. What fun that would be. You could have competitions to see who could shoot who through the most tons of brick...

Anyway, screw it. I'm not coming back so I couldn't care less if u allow the servers to be populated by pillocks.

Right.

Admins if they are following a cheat like to be discret, when people call and admin then mouth off at the suspect its not helpful. It may have been the case the admin was getting proof against said person and you shouting your mouth off ruined his chances.

Or and more likely, the dual duster is often full of some very very good players. If the admin was there and using rcon say he obviously did not think said player was cheating, and was in his rights to scold u for abuse.

As for #bwadmins, all that if the name doesnt fit rubbish is crap. There are many CS admins in there willing and ready to help. If you saw the amount of calls they took and WONID's a week sent for banning you would realise this.

Dont know about CS but on TFC servers it says what to do in the MOTD. It also says on the main web site what to do.

Sad to say it, but in certain circles tfc is just as bad as cs these days

Today it was obvious to me that iv'e come across atleast one aimbot and wall hacking sniper, and two wallhacking people.

Saw the sniper clearly looking directly into the wall and picking people out. And the wallhackers were a little too consistant in there knowing exactly were to throw there grenades at people hiding in corners, even though because i was camming them, i knew they absolutely had 'no' way of knowing they were there.


Tfc cheats are 'very' easy to spot.

Mainly because the people using them are 'utter' idiots.

Ye, this is pretty much the only time i'm ever certain enough of WHers to say something. When someone has a grenade(and often a rocket) right at the point as you exit part of the base with the flag, and they're too far away to hear you....Stupidly obvious.
What i say is 'Eh, flucky kill, gj'. I dont say it like i'm excusing myself for dying, i just say it as bait. When someone comes back with 'it wasn't look, it's skill!', you know not only are they WHing, but they're too stupid to realise when they've been sussed. It isn't unlikely a very good player would have a grenade thrown at a certain part when they know you'll be coming, and it's easy to predict from the point when the flag's taken. If they admit it was luck, they're eitther a clever cheater, or just lucky, either way i leave them alone

i would just like to ask what else barrysworld intend to do to rid cs of these lamers as i know most servers now seem to b running ogc detection but barrysworld doesnt seem too i may b wrong but from what i experienced tonight on barrys id said u aint running ogc detection.
i was in a server with about 8 others and it appeared the only 2 peeps not botting or hacking were myself and some poor n00b who didnt have a clue what was goin on (bless him)

i aint a whinger or a lamer and accept that there are some damn good players out there but being awped by a bloke stood bhind the front door on militia when i hadnt even came out of the tunnels (yes i was ct) kind of gave me an incling but i said nothing and tried to continue but then it happened again diff bloke but surprise surprise they were clan m8's

so i decided to watch them as i watching the t's i also noticed them being dropped through walls etc etc
so it was obvious both teams were at it fair enough.

id just wanna know y u aint doing nothing about it or have u something in the pipeline that u just aint saying cos if u have plz get it running asap or myself and my clan will b leaving barrys and ure tournaments and all other players and clans i know will b advised to do the same (thats a fair few people)

ok I came up with an idea that probably wouldn't work but as I'm not a computer programer I see no reasson why not.
Could someone like the people who design these cheats design anti cheats as opposed to cheat busters, in other words for every cheat designed there would be a cheat to counter act it, for example an anti cheat which makes a player invulnerable to bullets fired by and aim botter but not fired by an ordainary gun.

The server can't know the difference unless it detects the cheat. If it detects the cheat it might as well just kick them.

How about you have the equivlant of an irc proxycheck? It'd just check what DLLs you have in your HL folder, as i think alot of cheats(WHs at least) use DLLs(and the big cheats like ocq use a dll).

Ok, people wouldn't like it, but no-one complains about an irc proxy check, so what's the problem.
