Another 1.5 problem

I've been scouring CS forums and help sites all over the place for the last couple of hours, but can't find any reference to this problem.

everyone's heard of the built in wallhack in 1.4? i used to get it once in a while, maybe once in 20 or 30 time of loading half life. since successfully installing the hl and cs patches (on the third attempt) it now appears every single time. i have no idea what the problem is, and hence no idea how to begin solving it. i heard about a few people talking about this in 1.4, but have heard nothing since 1.5.

please help me with this problem, as cs is now unplayable on my part, and i had a quick run around piranesi, and it looks sooo good. i'll list a few of the details of my system below, let me know if you need anything else.

Radeon 8500, 5.13.1.6014 drivers
Windows 2000 Pro
Thunderbird 1200
Abit KT7E
...and a lovely new, shiny Lian-Li case .

They're from 1.4, but it's exactly the same in 1.5. The bits that you can see that you shouldn't be able to see are sort of translucent, it's not exactly like that.

Just for reference btw:
I have NEVER used cheats of any kind, not even any scripts or anything. i also reinstalled windows and reformatted 2 or 3 days ago.

yeah, kind of. the positioning is very odd though, move an inch to the left and you can't see anything, an inch to the right and you can see the entire map. you get no advantage out of it though, besides making it a waste of time playing, it cuts your fps in half.

edit: also doesn't seem to when zoomed in with a sniper rifle, this was the same in tfc also.

Did it happen when you upgraded to 1.5, when you installed the new drivers, or maybe when you did a few config tweaks?

first time it happened was very first time after i installed 1.4....that's what the screenies are from. and besides binds and trying to figure out why my voice comms also won't work, i don't do config tweaks.

You should prolly get the latest drivers for your graphics card.

By the looks of it, its probably a memory leak in that driver.

Dont ask me though, I dont actually know anything

I think DBs / Ted should take note, can you see how not many people are using BW's default face thingies?.. instead people go elsewhere and get others lol
