Im angry today.

I went to the jobcentre today for the 1st time since starting work (10 years ) and they told me they wasny going to pay me anything. I asked why. Thye said you havnt payed enogth stamp. I replyed i have been working for 10 years paying th percentage of my wages you have asked for in National insurance.

They said well it seem you have still not paid enough. I rang the place that deals with the claims and they said you have to produce your wage slips from the last 2 years, as we do not have you working on our books for the last 24 months. This is either meaning there system is shit or my employer has screwed me over. But tbh i dont think he did.

Im basically putting this down to they are looking after the wrong ppl. PPL like me and you that have worked for all our lives ( THEY CALL US WORKERS ) are not aloud to claim in times of bad. The only ppl aloud to claim are the ones who have never worked. Bullshit in my eyes. Anyways just remember when you are at work picking up you wages tommorow and you look at your national insurance that you have payed, feel proud that that is gonna be up some druggys nose that has never worked in his life instead of mine, that has worked hard all my life.

Bad aint it.

I am ashamed at the way they deal with us honest ppl.

This doesn't sound good. Is there any way you can check whether your previous employer has actually been paying NI contribution on your behalf these last two years?

Im going to see him tommorow summo but, i think he has done his bit. He can be a git at times dont get me wrong, but i dont think he will stoop that low.

I just think its the Goverment being a pain in the ass. I have the wage slips anyways so hopefully they will see im telling the truth.

console yourself with the fact that if he hasnt been paying your Ni , that he has also been stealing your PAYE and will be fux0red up every orifice by the inland revenue.

Also, If you cant claim JSA contributary you can claim non contrinutary or income support. Iwould also appeal against their decision not to pay you, that will get the wheels turning more quickly. Failing that go on the sick for stress and depression.

He would only be able to collect JSA or Income support if there were no other adults in the house working over 28hrs a week and he didn't leave work voluntarily. As for the matter of NI contributions, get in touch with the inland revenue, they should have details there of everything you paid. Remember you have the right to argue with the job centres decision - the louder the better.

doh_boy; the state pension was phased out a long while ago by the previous government, it has been replaced by tax-free saving on pension schemes for both work and personal, I think there is a law about companies requiring to have a pension scheme and there are limits as to the maximum you can be paid when you retire, the state pension is a thing of the long past and only people over 50-55 nowdays will still have one.

Pension schemes are required to have independent trustees, however, there are many ways round this and plenty of companies have found ways of plundering the excess on pension trusts back into the company, or the director's pocket, thereby denying the good fortune to those currently drawing on the pension.

Robert Maxwell managed to get the "advisor" to his company pension scheme as one of his own people, through a network of offshore companies, thereby getting them to recommend investing the pension trust in Mirror shares, thus raising their value to the benefit of Mr Maxwell.
