I was wondering just how Ami's will get on when they get to Fins levels.
Normally a group will insist on all pets being killed off to minimise leeching of XP. Since the Ami is basically all pet, where will it leave them??

Valewalkers are practically immune to archery attacks, blocks anything in a frontal arc. And it's passive iirc. :(

It needs to be set but you can run around with it on and still lifetap, just can't melee, it also works vs more than one archer, so VW might be great for clearing archers from keeps ;)

The Valewalker specific RA 'Defender of the Vale':

'Group-targeted hit point buffer that absorbs 50% damage for up to 500 hit points.'

That doesn't suck in the least bit, either, I would say. Animist abilities all seem to point more towards defending something... good or bad, hard to tell yet, I guess...
Im sure both classes will find their place, would still like to see groups have 10 player slots though ;).

Camelot herald lists the RA as being on a 15 min timer, in fact it's 30 :/

Lots of whining in the us about the VW class RA and mincers ablative chant, people feel it takes away from a rather expensive and less effective RA.

well what ever animists are like in RvR (i havent sceen yet iv only just made my first alt in hib) they rule as PvE plvlers. i got 1-10 yesterday (theat may not sound that great to you guys but to me thats incredible) i was a valewalker with a bard and an animist and the xp was unbeliveable as good as pbaoe id say. they do look like they might be limeted in RvR though but i can see them makeing great defenders.

Leveling from 1-10 doesn't really sound like much and can certainly not be compared to pbaoe in any way.

He did'nt have a pet up then , which was stupid ,or you would'nt have touched him .

225 DD with 1800 range is a joke yes.

178 AoE with 1800 ranges is also a joke.

And at last a pet with 209 dd.

Discussed this on the BG board, indeed it appears he had no pet up.....not managed to one shot a pet yet, but ill keep trying :)

So nice if that DD remains stuck behind some terrain feature.
Or a blue con pet casting a DD that will be resisted more often and doesn't get Int damage modifiers.
Not to say they are bad, but not as great as they seem at first glance.

animists..

First ever hib zerg class :D Those pets interupt ALL mages on the other side, and you are most likely to get last hits around....aaaand you root/buff/debuff/heal and slow the entire zerg...this class is the real zerg bomb :D
Cept that, they are a blaster with weak blast, a soloer with weak solo and a pet maker with ODD pets! :D

I dont manage to level with them, they are soooo ineffective without mr ,(

yes, they can stay alive a bit with the lifetap, but thats about it, they are good survivors

Aye, but animists turrets take an age to cast, and take quite a lot of mana. Plus they are ground targeted, so u have to stop, target, cast before anything happens, by which time yer lucky to be alive still, or at least uninterrupted in general rvr, and pets cannae move.

OFC its a different case in keep defence and mg camping :)

The turrets really aren't designed for mainstream roaming RvR, they r awesome in keep/milegate defence tho, the dd's are fun in rvr, can always tell when czadi is close cos his little dd bombers keep whizzing past me
