Are 'shrooms classed as turrets ?

The maximum number of turrets than an Animist can have spawned at any one time has been reduced to 15. We are making this change because of the severe problems to game balance, frame rate, and server stability caused by the combination of Animist turrets and power increasing items found in Trials of Atlantis.

From the patch notes for 1.69a (yes, the DF nerf patch, so everyone probably missed this). Still in testing though.

still though, only takes 8 animists to get together (are there that many?) and boom 8*15 = dead if u pile through a MG quickly enough

Yeh nerf all those level 5 shrooms hitting for 5-10 damage each.

It's great to see people who have no clue about the Animist class, and in some cases can't even spell the damn name, calling for nerfs.

As for the so called nerf on 1.69, it's a PvE nerf in the same way as the chanter FS nerf, to stop Hibs taking down encounter mobs in seconds. From experiance it takes 30ish level 5 shrooms down before I can nuke a level 7x mob for 200-400 damage without crits, and frankly deserved a change.

As for the difference that shroom cap makes to RvR, expect to get hit for up to 200 damage a shot from shrooms in future rather than 10, as animists will drop level 34-50 shrooms at milegates instead.

Not that it bothers me mind you, I'm Arborial specced, so I'll carry on nuking you to oblivion.

actually it's more "stop for 30s whilst your computer dies"

The nerf to 15 shrooms just means animists will cast higher levels shrooms yes - they'll be doing damage as they should be, rather than being used to lag your enemies to death.

dont think confuse works that way sadly, only sether the tether can do that..
unless some kind Menta wants to help you not much chance of that im afraid.

Sooooo wish that worked!!! Love my confuse spell in PvE just wish it had such a effect in RvR.

Perhaps those where level 5, but with ML5-perfector power font up, you can pretty much chain cast level 21 schrooms... 1 lvl 21 schroom per 5s (Powerfont was 5s I think ? ) is a continue'd stream of 24 schrooms up per animist excluding the first power-bar... And excluding anything like MCL / RP ...

Running (solo) into 24 lvl 21 schrooms... Hurts...
