My sons Hudl 2 is totally out of storage space and unable to get updates. I bought a 32 GB micro SD card to move the apps onto to help but when I tell android to move apps to SD only about 10% moves to the card and the rest stays on the device. Why is this and what can I do?

device vendor has locked app locations. you'll have to root it if you can.

Mmm, rooting would be step 1. Then put an app on that does a better job of moving stuff to the card.

yeah chum. I had a similar thing with my HTC Desire. I was all "why the fuck do I have no storage space when I have like, three apps installed", so I did the exact same thing you did: buy a microSD card. turns out that I could only move ONE app to the card. Turns out that location is vendor / appdev configurable and lockable. That really ground my gears, especially when I could move just about everything after I had rooted the thing and installed a Cyanogen.
