Help Android mClock XML editing and viewing

I currently have mClock on my android phone which I have slightly customised but I want to do a few more alterations.

The problem I have is that I edit the xml, upload it to the phone, see that it's not quite what I want and then repeat.

Is there a way to see the result of my edited xml without having to keep uploading it to the phone?
