Its the usual story mate I was talking to another shade about this earlier on, about how groups seem to ignore the shades on list for fins groups or EZ or whatever and rather take a sheild hero

I drummed on about this for so long now and cant be bothered with it anymore and I now have a ranger who does absolutely f*** all apart from sit at dadga incase of relic raids. I can never ever get her into a group and cant be arsed to sit around innis all day hoping to once get a group. So much for getting to lvl50 and continue rp farming

So I know exactly where u r coming from mate, and gimme a shout if u need a bard sometime for a group.

Aeindel is a bloody good tank at that, one of the best aggro holders I've seen. You might expect him to need a bit more healing than a dedicated sword n board man, but with his massive dex + High Evade he can block n evade with the best.

Whats that odd extra heal cost compared to the death of one of your trigger happy mages.

Me and Aeindel have done most of CM pit together with him tanking and no healers or support classes at all and it works bloody well.

Spankya, i'll grp with yer ranger if you haven't levelled him too high (i'm currently stuck on 42). And aeiedil, i'd offer to group with you too but i'd only be leaching off your great prowess.
FFS when will people realise stealthers are a valuable class too? If they can get to 50 then they must be able to hurt things/take the damge. A lot of stealthers have soloed to 50 or whichever level they are are at and i bet they have a f load more skill at playing their character than peter no patience who has p-levelled a hero/warden/pbaoer to that level. I've been in groups with sh1t tanks who can't hold aggro to save their lives (and others) because they don't understand the concept of taunting. A shade/ranger who dies a few times in a group because he holds aggro too well is far more valuable than a tank who never dies from aggro but allows the casters/healers to get aggro a lot because he is too much of a pussy to take the pain or doesn't know how to hold aggro.
To sum up, as has already been said a lot (but noone seems to listen) is that it's not just the class of the character but the person that is playing it that counts. And i bet that aeieidil is a f-load better tank than half of the tanks who are at similar level. Including a lot of the new p-leveled lvl 50's who we seem to be acquiring recently.

Gotta admit, a ns or ranger (even a blademaster /em pokes tounge out at Treson) can tank quite happily on fins and such. And if the shield hero in group puts guard on them your laughing.
People seem to forget that most high level PB groups have a 6 sec bubble at their disposal so a lighter armoured group member can survive just as easily.

i was also on that list with cias group for 5 hours, but i found out after some asking around that i had *accidently *been left off it, not having a go at cia, just an example, ive even been told that these lists are useless and the leader,etc.. whoever just choose ppl who r not 1st, ive even been in groups when they have done this and its not very nice, and its all very well said and done about making your own groups but many ppl cant b arsed 2 go though the little wait while the group members are found they would much prefer just 2 go on a list becouse they know it will not b long b4 they get a space,unlike shades etc.. who wil only get a space if there very lucky, so they dont even bother 2 try and make a group work they just want to do there own thing, and then join a rdy made group, ie. so they have 2 do nothing..
and yes i have tried many times to make my own groups, so im not just talking out of my ass.

Sadly i have myself waited on that list for several hours and not gotten in the group before it either split, etc.

Making groups in as ive said earlier is hard in the start but after you have made a successful group ore two, it will become easier as some of the same players will join again..

the problem arises when a group's pbaoer leaves.....or warden....or druid...or mana guy.... it is hard for a shade to replace those roles which are critical to pbaoe grp

everytime i have the list at fins and realise that the list already contains a full valid group i msg the n#1 on my list and ask him to start a new group giving him/her the names of the others.

Worked fine the other day as I gave the names to giriam.

Stealthier is a rvr _group_ char. Not pve _group_ char.
Scouting, taking off/or disabling key members of enemy groups, clearing keep walls during raids etc. etc.
Yes, it is possible to solo with assasin, but its not very productive unless you have a buff bot, since you quite limited in your targets and soloing usually means that you'll waste 30 minutes to get back if something goes wrong

I don't care wot lvl UR char is if U don't appreciate a diversity in grp U R a nOOb in my book. The some of the best grps I have been in have had a range of classes..including NS.

As for the solo aspect.. sure there is a solo aspect.. but U need to get UR head around the tree that UR hugging and see that the whole realm would benifit from a goodly number of NS's pestering the albs/mids.

Ok, first off shades CAN tank yeh, as everyone prolly understood. But you have to realice that you can NEVR be as good as a real tank. No matter what...and about that shades taunt mobs easier...BS! Allso peeps talk about high lvl pbaoe groups at fins etc...It's not only about pbaoe either. I've been in ALOT of different fin gorups with my hero, and We manage with only void eldr/mentalist, 8sec bub and no druid. Tell me you're NS can tank in that group...HELL no I say then.

I know how hard it is to lvl a stealther since I got a lvl 37 ranger myself and the reason he is not lvl 50 is: Becouse he is USELSS in groups...when will the rest of the stealthers face that. It's so damn silly to go here whine about it.

Envenom: You're a nice guy and I teamed with you pretty much, and you cna tank fins, but when you are replaced by a real tank thats mean lot less downtime..as in no healing witch means lot more xp for all group. So don't expect that 7 peeps will get less xp just becouse you are a shade and want a group.

So if all of you stealthers are so fed up with you're chars so friggin reroll as I did and stop whine about it all the time, this is the XXXXX whine thread about shades on this forum...BAH!

to all the people telling me to make a group, get a regular lot of ppl etc, and telling about how hard to do a list it is kindly stfu. if i didnt start making groups and holding lists i would be at level 42/43 still. i was at the fins for around 5-8 hour stretches as much as pos up to level 47, keeping a group going that long is not easy no matter where you are. and as for getting regular members, oh i had them. oh but wait they all dinged 50, and guess whos left behind.

finally, solo class? where in the description does it say im a solo class? in rvr i group a lot because solo theres little point to it. solo i might as well just go play an offline rpg. of course a lot of the time i get ignored in rvr aswell for groups other than guildies\friends.

Shades suit people who has very good patiense. Some just like to use a loong time on most thing they do and like camp places for amny hours until they might see a solo mage go passt and stabb him. This is for rangers as well. It's hard to lvl and they are prolly more fun in RvR at 50 than a regular tank or so, but it has a price. I know several stealth classes from the other realms that camp places for hours, just waiting for some weak soloer to fragg. Not many have this patiense abilety, and if they don't have, a stealth class is nothing for them imo. I like to group most of the time both RvR and PvE, and thats why I choosed a team char, simple as that

Not grouping shades is shooting yourself (and the entire realm) in the foot. I was at a keep raid last night on prydwen where the hibs had, surprise surprise, no shades. We had something like 4 or 5 infiltrators running up the wall killing someone and leaping down, this carried on for about 30 mins at a huge cost to the defenders. A few high level NSes would have stopped that happening. Do yourself and the realm a favour and group shades fgs (especially Aeie, he has nice pie).

Stealthers aren't particularly useful in groups (well except minstrels ), but it's worth taking an extra hour or two to get that level to stop you getting your arse handed to you repeatedly everytime you try to defend a keep.
