I've heard you can repeat this quest only so many times,

So far i've gained the ancient roman coin, ancient copper coin, and 2 weapon choices, but not the necky.

Now the NPC's at end of the quest are saying something like "we have no loot to give you", yet the starter NPC is allowing me to do the quest again.

I'm wondering whether this means I can get the xp without weapons anymore, or if its a random thing NPC's say, and there is still a chance of getting the necklace.

Originally heard only 5% chance of getting the necklace before they made the quest repeatable, so is it possible to obtain all items if you keep repeating the quest?

4 Items = quest finished

But there is alot of other quests, where you can get about one bobble each.
- Free the rouge
- New heaven quest ( faction village near Sidi)
- Bracer quest

Another two quests are given in Aerus, Volcanos and Stygia, reward is about 1 bobble too plus 5 stat items.

Add your 43-48 epic quest and you can make it easy from 48 up to 49,5 and earn some nice items for your setup.

Actually the way it works is you have 4 items in the quest, and you can repeat up to 10(? not 100% sure o the number anymore but something like that) times with a chance to get an item each time.. on the 10th attempt you are guaranteed to get an item.. then you have up to a maximum 10 more attempts til you get an item etc.. until eventually you get all the items.. There's a pretty decent chance you get an item each run anyway, so you rarely ever will reach the maximum amount of tries before getting the next item..

There is no maximum to the number of times this quest can be repeated.
The first time you complete it you will recieve the weapon as a reward. After that the reward is randomly selected and you will get either the coin, the necklace, the ring or nothing.
Once you have all four rewards, the quest cannot be started anymore.

From the 1.61 patch notes:

Major Changes to Ancestral Secrets Quest

The long awaited changes to the Ancestral Secrets quest in Midgard are finally here. Here’s what we did to allow all players a chance to get the coveted Beaded Resisting Stones as well as the other random rewards. We have made the quest Ancestral Secrets repeatable. If you have already completed the quest once you may go back to Ota Yrling in Aegirhamn and get it again. The rewards are still given out randomly after you are teleported by Jaklyr, and you may only get each random reward once. Once you have all three random rewards, Ota will no longer give out the quest. The standard rewards for the quest have not changed. Players that complete the quest two or more times will not be offered the standard rewards at the end of the quest. Instead they will receive a small amount of experience and a decent amount of gold.

Other important changes to this quest:

- The Ancestral Keeper’s level has been raised. Taking a few friends with you is advised.
- The Beaded Resisting Stones are now flagged NO TRADE because everyone now has the chance to get the Necklace for themselves.
There is an Albion and a Hibernian version of this quest. The Albion version is called The Lost Stone of Arawn and begins with Honayt’rt in Wearyall Village. The Hibernian version is called The Lost Seed and begins with Terod in Droighaid. Each quest offers a version of the Beaded Resisting Stones as well as the other two random rewards.

Several changes have been made to the Lost Stone of Arawn quest. After players have received all three random reward items, they should no longer be able to get the quest. Also, the NPCs should now recognize that the player has recieved the random rewards and no longer give them out.
- The Stone of Arawn, step 10 - those of you that didn't get a note from N'chever to give to Ing'ati will have to appeal for a new note. From now on though , N'chever will give the note.

We would like to clear up a few misconceptions about the high level repeatable quests that were introduced in this last patch: Ancestral Secrets, The Lost Seed and The Stone of Arawn.

- First, the reward for doing these quests is a weapon. You will receive the weapon reward the first time you do the quest. We recognize that not every weapon is tailored for the way your spec'd your character, but we currently do not have plans to modify these rewards.
- Second, there are three other rewards that can be received by doing this quest. However, they are RANDOM. You may do the quest multiple times before you get any of them. Please don't appeal to customer service unless you have done the quest over 10 times and haven't received any of the random rewards at all.
- Third, we had set a maximum number of times that players would have to do the quest before getting the necklace and unfortunately, mostly due to faulty expectations on our part, this didn't work. We have fixed this on the live servers now and invite all of you that have done the quest more than 10 times to do it again. You should get the necklace on your next run through.
- Fourth, we know that in some cases players will have to do the quest many times before getting the necklace. We sympathize, but wish to remind you that we made the quest
repeatable at your request, so that those that wanted the necklace but weren't lucky enough to get the random the first time through could keep trying until you did get it.
- Fifth, thanks for your patience and feedback as we continue make adjustments to these quests to make them as smooth as possible for you.

I don't understand what you're on about ... your quote just confirms what Requiel said :m00:
1st item is weapon, everything else is random and there's no upper limit of how many times you CAN repeat the quest

read em again fully? :p
They confirm that there is a maximum limit on how often yu can do the quest before recieving an item, since there is a limited amount of items, you therefore are limited in how often the maximum number of times the quest can be done too

well, doh... but you WILL get the items sooner or later... the whole point of the initial post was that edp33 feared he would be unable to get the necklace because there is a limit in how often you can do the quest (as in: you can only do lsoa xx times, if u don't get the item then bad luck...) ... and that's not the case ... :m00:

Read the last line in Requiel's post, I know it's the opposite of the first line, but he does say the same thing as you do.
