An other subscription problem thread...

My account was supposed to renew last night after 7 day free period added by GOA.
How ever for some reason payment did not succeed. Card is ok, not expired etc.

Now my account is suspended and I can not check/change payment methods because "an invoice is currently in process" .

I am writing here because I can not log in to RightNow. I have tried both sub and game id's and passwords. Tried to mix them up. Even tried old ones. I can log in to subsription pages but not RightNow.

How long should that "invoice process" be going?
All I can do is wait?

it's a time delay to stop fraud - if a credit card transaction fails it stops you from making another one for a few hours I believe...

not sure how long exactly.

Yeah I thought it would be few hours also.
How ever transaction failed about 1 am this morning.
Thats why I was asking if anyone knows how long it lasts.

Hrm, might be it's reset at midnight? (which makes 1am a cruel time to get a transaction declined)

You would think though that if it was a good anti fraud protection, why dont other companies use it, I dont know of that many that would not allow you to buy there merchandise for a few hours (upto 24) just because you put the wrong details in. I think it is just bad coding and checks carried out on invoice and payments.

Unless of course a GM can say that, GoA do it this way to stop Fraud, even then GoA dont lose money the Credit card company does anyway.

they have a separate payment provider (bibit I believe) so it'll be entirely down to them...

Hmm... I was able to play yesterday. Even tho GOA's page said all the time that invoice is in process and my acco was supposed to be suspended.
This morning I received mail that my account has been closed (first mail was that it was suspended because payment didn't go thru).

According to subs page I had no autoreneval. Which seems odd because the acco was suspended the day before because autoreneval's payment did not work.

Wonder if it had anything to do with those 7 extra days.

Anyways I was able to pay now and everything seems to be ok.

if you aren't getting a reply from the subscription address try using a RightNOw that has billing as a topic as those also go to that department.

I'm sorry I can't say anything else however we GMs so very don't deal with anything related to billing.

As I said in my first message I was not able to login to rightnow. Don't know why. Main thing is that everything seems to be ok now.
