whats this thing about your not being allowed to advertise music sites, just read in that other post but no details on it. Is it against some new Law or just FH trying to do their bit for the country?

Not entirely true ^^

i suppose you're referring to the thingy about you can have it for 24 hours but then its gotta be deleted?

or are you refering to the fact that it's legal if you own a genuine Copy of it?

why, if you are paying for it ^^

i presume you are talking about paying for access to the newsgroup?

in which case its illegal because you are not paying the person, or persons responsible for the production of the product.

Yes, and yes, and the fact promotion by some bands happens on the internet through downloading.

I doubt Lily Allen would be where she was now without the power of the internet.

Because the money doesn't go towards the artists that make the song?

we know you made your name stupidly obvious with all this pay for this crap in your name, but how do you know that a % of what you pay doesnt get divided to the artists...

Because newgroups have hardly any way of tracking what files get shared then sorting them into royaltys. YOu are paying for access to the newgroup to share illegal files.

Yes and I reported the post for breaching copywrite laws.

strictly speaking it didnt breach any copyright law. unless, and some how i mised it, the copyright law was amended to state that "no one may talk about copyright infringment with regards to digital media"

because its not illegal to use a legal tool for illegal purposes. i probably didnt word this right, but what ever.
to give an example, its not against the law to use a mobile phone to phone someone and ask for drugs.

all the newsgroup is doing is taking funds, running the server and people then choose to use it to talk/provide links to something that would make an illegal act if they followed it.

just like orange is taking your money to run the phone network, which you then use to ask someone if you can buy drugs.

i think he is implying he has permission to use their copyrighted material without him self earning any money.
tis false economy really in one sense. i know if i can listen to a song on YT im not gonna buy it. there is also no link to any albums, correct?

so unless someone loves the song so much they orgasm, they arnt gonna go look for the album with their own free time.

BUt wee, I have the place where you can buy them in my sig, so that would use what? 0.2seconds of human brain power? I know its a bit of a steep expetency for the freddyshouse brigade.
