Fellow Albions,

I am writing to inform you that as of 29th December 2006, I will no longer be playing DAoC; the time has come for this Dragon Slayer to hang up the mace for good! And to leave the game – forever this time, and it has never been the same for me since the break up of my relationship Dec 2005.

I also have had pc problems with DAoC, I keep going LD all the time, and if I am honest, I am really sick of buying new parts, installing xp & drivers & directx etc over and over to sort it, it has become too much of a struggle to play a game which I once dearly loved, and in a sense I cannot actually play the game at all due to these problems.

Also with problems with my nana recently, again it felt too weird to be playing when I should have been supporting my family in RL more!

As I will never return to DAoC this time, please note that I have also Sold my game accounts! , So if you see Talsar or any of the *alsar alts playing DAoC, they will still be sexy but will all have a different brain behind the wheel and it wont be me I’m afraid!

I want to thank for the bottom of my heart, All at Supremacy, and all within the Supremacy Alliance;

We all created a little community within the community and I have to say it was the best time I ever had within DAoC (apart from the alliance ofc ) but the time we shared and the laughs over teamspeak will be forever with me.

I would like to thank my dearest friends Ezlai and Bunnytwo for being the best friends I could ever have on a online game, I have known you both for 5 years and I have to say it was great!, I know both of you no longer play (you are still due me a pint for paying the rent on your house for 2 years on the hope you would come back lol )

I would like to say goodbye also to all at Kupo Flux, thanks for letting me become part of your RVR group even though I would not join the guild

Lol trying not to miss anyone – turning out like Paltrow’s teary speech lol… If I missed anyone I am really sorry! Please forgive this old cleric!

I would also like to thank Mum, Jupitus, Filmgoblin, Tilda for being their for the community and using their time to keep it ticking along. Also like to thank Requiel for helping me out with some of my pc problems.

I want to end by saying a fond farewell to you all, for me personally the community on Albion Prydwen has been the best online community I have ever had the honour of being part of, I salute you all…. Infact I hug you all (lol) take care,

Two things annoy me about this thread 1.. you dont have me on ure list < dont make a list if you dont want to offend anyone who thinks they should be on it > and 2 why make a goodbye thread when you obviously like the game why not just leave it open if you leave and save all the bollox for when you return , i used to think i would make goodbye threads < which i did once > but then thought is this a goodbye thread or just a WHO LOVES ME I NEED TO KNOW THREAD ? think it over just take a break return when they all come back or if and when :x

Sorry to hear you're going, One final suggestion tho on your constant LD's. If you are running a router you may need to go into it and do what is called a Port Forward. This allows the router to allow instant access to the DAoC server.

You will need to find what port you connect to first tho, to find out log into game, alt-tab and go to start menu, run, type cmd, press enter, at this screen type, netstat. look for a set of number 193.252.123.33:XXXX where XXXX is your port number on their server.

I hope this will help and prevent a legend from hanging up his mace.

Sadly i will not return, could not even if i wanted too, Accounts sold, and i can no longer play Daoc on my pc have not been able to for 2 months, was paying for a game i could not play sadly

Sad to see you go - mighty member of the Albion community and Bane of the Dragon! Hope you charged extra when you sold the accounts for all those DR macros you had made. Every Raid I remember the directive to turn off heal chants on paladins was cut out between two macros and I always waited in anticipation to see what you were going to say :eek2: ! They should'nt as i only sold the game boxes! not the "accounts" per say as they are still owned by Mythic/GOA, which is not against COC.

I would rather that someone else paid GOA to keep the accounts open then just let them die and GOA lose the revenue they would of gained from them.
