/em feels sooo sorry for minstrels, they must be the most gimped class in the world... NOT

if im a support class take away my stealth and my melee and give me a decent ae mez, a decent single mez, some instas, some self buffs, more hps etc etc

otherwise mincers lose out on way too much in new fronteirs -- also imo the whole of new fronteirs just seems to be one big alb nerf at the moment.

off the top of my head we lose:

IP
AP
Dodger
Blocker (shield classes only now!)
AM now sucks
SoS now sucks

with 0 compensation

oh we get to insta mez every pet in range for 30 secs woot, shittest ability evar.

ok lets look at end / speed / mana regen for the realms

paladin - uninterruptable end chant
shammy - end buff (again no interruption)
hib - if end aint on, keep at it ! oh wait..interupted..spam end song a bit..hmm still going on..wait 3 secs..ok no end..fine ill try healing..oh wait same problem! what a gimp i am...ok what else can i do ..use instas..nah instas for gimps...erm ok ill wait till fights over then put speed on and repeat the entire process.

it's biased allright, paladin and shammy end range is very low, and once a shammy dies he has to rebuff end for every single member, where a bard can just play the song again

and getting end up is most of the time really easy, just make sure u dont stand still while playing it after the jump (spd 6 still after mezz) or after gp(/rezz)

a bard has 3 insta's to interrupt enemy support/mages, and now also has the phoebus harp to hit with. it does 0 dmg but interrupts nevertheless

It's only first draft at the moment, i'm confident as the beta gets more open Mythic will reconsider alot of these changes for minstrels and friars.

For my reaver i'm happy with the changes and for the guy that compared reaver to skald "wtf???"

bards will have access to moc (in frontiers: 5 ra points for moc1 on a 15 min timer). moc1 will be enough for bards and if things go horribly wrong you can moc to get end running... every 15 mins

I'm in the same boat moo, my main is a shade, I was willing to put up with ToA because I knew when I was done my lil' luri would still do well in solo RvR.

I kinda stopped playing when they announced these RA changes, i'll wait and see how it all pans out, but I cant bring myself to log on at the moment. Games like this are all about trying to make your character as good as it can be, for me anyway, thats the challenge. When someone rips the guts out of it and its totally out of your control, defeats the point.

I used to play a scout, which I quit when see hidden came out, cant be arsed any more, i've taken enough punishment from one game...

Fine tweak here and there, but to try and totally redefine the way a class should be played is just wrong. Thats what they have just done to Mincers, hate them though I do, I feel for you.
