I wish, 1 extra day for every day here. Less than half a normal days pay. No overseas premium, no extra 'Nigerian you may be in danger' bonus. Base/365 x 8 today

Alas I am not the Spokesman, He is Guy Cantwell, the media affairs chappy from Houston, who prior to this was the scriptwriter for the Iraqui Information Minister.

Well it appears my 15 mins of pseudo-fame is over, the chaps with the fire-axes and the desire to sink the rig are going home on a boat later today. I will probably get off on Monday, local election/holiday today, Helicopter maintenance on Sunday.

We were promised business class tickets on the way home, bit of a waste really because I will be too drunk to notice where I am sitting
