Yeah, just made this off the top of my head and went for it. It's fairly cheap and serves two.
Small hand/fistful of spaghetti
Half of red sweet pepper
5 small dried red Chillis
1 small onion
Half Jar Amoy Sweet and sour sauce (yeah I know this cheats but at 19p I couldn't make it better and cheaper at that price)
1 Mushroom
1 Tin of pilchards - even the ones in tomato sauce will do.
1 Tsp of Rice wine
Ok, fairly simple meal as follows.
Break the spaghetti in two, add water to a pan, bring to a simmer. After 3 minutes turn off the gas. While you are doing that, slice the pepper, the onion and the mushroom and stir fry in the wok on a high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add the rice wine with a touch of salt and pepper about 2 minutes into cooking.
Drain off the spaghetti, and throw straight back into the pan. Add the vegetable stir fry to the pan, add the pilchards ( sliced or mashed for taste). Add the sweet and sour. Cook on a low heat stove for about 3-4 mins till bubbling and serve.
This meal is obviously quite yummy/sloppy but on the whole I thought it was nice and worth a try for anyone else that might want to
