You gotta expect some greif from hibs when anything to do with Alpha is posted as he has made our lives hell since he ebayed the account. Granted, he plays the char well, but really gets no respect from most hibs due the fact that he's fully buffed and will gank greys or lowbies with no mercy. "What are lowbies doing in the frontier? They deserve to die!!" I hear you cry. Well in my case I had to lgm my weapon crafter getting materials from the hib relic keep and so did many others who used to complain about the Alpha killing spree going on. Also many hibs have to run into the frontier to do epics. Damn annoying when u got to dodge mobs and the high rr minstrel thats been terrorising the gorge for the last 3 hours.

oh and yes, Alpha beats my hero with ease, even more so since the damage buffer and it kind of bugs me , but then I rarely run solo into RvR zones these days as most buffed stealthers tear me a new one too.

The day Alpha drops no buffs when he gets caught out is the day I and I'm sure most hibs will respect his true playing skills and total mastery of his class.

Evad, I think you would get your ass handed back to you on a plate by Alpha (I know this for 100% fact actually).
And I think Alpha primarely kills stealthers. The only thing a radar would help with in that case is detecting an inc FG of Mids or Hibs really. Stealthers don't show up on radar yet...

PS And being buffed is 95% of all stealthers now. Maybe 2 years ago it would have been a benefit. For the past year it has been a prerequisite

YEa Alphas the only grey ganker out there hibs/mids never do it and im sure Hibs never use buffbots to solo its only Alpha, even if he did buy the account RR4 to RR11 is fair bit of game play and deserves some respect imo.

I'm just pointing out that whilst people here are busy massaging his ego, some of us realise that while rr11 is an amazing achievement, his is somewhat tarnished in mine and many peoples eyes by the fact that he was using a buffbot when most others didn’t have one and I think must of got up to 5 mil rp’s before buffbots were widely used.

He bought the account and that will always come with the stigma of being a bit lame.

Add to that, he is camping a zone where easy targets are always plentiful. Never see many Alpha dm’s in Odins or Hadrians or anywhere else for that matter. U just don’t get those innocent low levellers xping in such vast quantities anywhere else or those solo ppl running to emain to meet up with a group. There have been a few Alpha wannabes coming to dl over the past year and a half, but unbuffed, they just did not cut the mustard against tougher opponents. Also, no-one has ever had Alpha’s amazing knack of finding you, no matter where you were in the gorge (I’m not accusing him of using Radar).

Add to that, he is using a class that has too many abilities for a stealthier. On the looks of thing Mythic made the minstrel to be a group support char. They gave it the ability to be an over average strength race (highlander). Gave it good armour (only bettered by it’s own realms plate armour). They gave it speed song five and power regen. They gave it specable weapon. They even gave it that stupid melee buffer later on that absorbs 70 of every hit against him (low weapon skill one handers sometimes can’t even break that 70 damage so hit for 0). They gave is mezz, stun and dd’s. Even a nice little charm spell. Then some bright spark decided to give it stealth ffs. Why does albion get scout, infil and Minstrel, yet hib gets ranger and shade and Mid get hunter and shadowblade? Stealth seems an unnecessary skill to a class with speed song 5 to me. Seems like Skalds should have stealth too.

Add to that, he can kill I’d imagine any unbuffed class that he sees, has a ‘get out of jail free card’ with ip and sos (no high rr needed for these), always gets the jump on his victims with the use of stealth, then speed to catch them, mezz to line them up and uses a moderate amount of skill when tanking them (if step through and spamming dd’s can be considered skill).

Add to that, he has been known to give ppl deliberate xp deaths.

When you add all these things up, he suddenly doesn’t seem like such a vastly superior player to others (certainly most hibs). He just starts to appear to be a player who favours things when the odds are heavily stacked in his favour and is willing to put in the time to earn those easy rp’s. So no, I don’t expect him to loose the buffs in these days of buffbots, but don’t expect the gratz posts to flood in from some of us until he shows that on a lvl playing field he can compete and stand out from the crowd as an exceptional talent of DAoC. Currently he doesn’t.

Khefru you private mesaged me several times whining like mad because i took out your Hero and tbh i think that explains why you have so much resentment here. I do not play this game to "impress" you or in an attemt to earn your respect, i play to have fun...Hibs are a realm enemy of Albion, and i will kill any hib that i see if i can...if i see a fgrp exping in frontier i will of course attempt to get rp's out of them, but more often that not in doing so some will take exp death..but thats why you get bigger bonuses in frontier , because of the dangers of being killed by rvr etc etc. And if i did give exp deaths on purpose..which was occasionally, it was only to people like you ...and i gotta admit it gave more pleasure than collecting your rp's =)

If you really think that killing greys gave me 8+mil rps then you really need to think again.

If you think that minstrels have been fotm and overpowered throughout the last 2 years, then again you really need to think more.

I had less than 2 million rp's when every man and woman went out with a buffbot...BUT, prior to that i did not just attack soloers that were unbuffed, i used to attack 3+players, sometimes even as many as a fgrp - i think that evens out the odds of me being buffed. I just made the most of my class.

As some may know, when i started on Excal on the first day of the server i played my smite cleric called Gromit in Teamcow along with some mates from my UO guild of the same name...one of them being Danielle (the person who started Alpha), when he left the game to go play on PvP i started to play with Alpha, who had around 200k rps..the same as my cleric did at the time. And thats how it started...my buffbot that i used untill respecs came around was in fact a level 50 smite cleric with 7 in enhance =)

You have a downer on me Khefru because ive killed your grey crafter...well thats fine, but dont expect everyone to see your point of view..or even agree with you.
