How legal is this site? Offers cd quality albums for download, for little over a dollar... which seems amazingly good to me.. but somehow dosn't seem legal :p

Not that I actualy care about legality of music downloads, just don't want to be paying if im not getting the legality aspect for my money :D

The user bears sole responsibility for any use and distribution of all materials received from AllOFMP3.com. This responsibility is dependent on the national legislation in each user's country of residence. Probably not then.

Or you could claim that you had only bought the music to listen to on your planned trip to Russia, and would never dream of listening to it in this country.

Well what law would you have broken? I can't think of one, unless its illegal to import legally purchased music.

I've bought about 250 tracks from it at varying degrees of quality. Personally I'm of the opinion that they're more concerned with p2p than the legal minefield that is the internet :)

Completely legal in most countries where the posession or downloading is fine, but distribution of copyrited items isn't.

Suffice to say the record industry hates Russian copyright law :)

I've always been under the impression that it was legal. 'Tis a great service: cheap, good quality files, and nice speedy downloads.

Works well.

Sign up and confim your email and they give you $0.2 which is enough for 2 mp3 tracks at 192kps.

Listening to KT Tunstall Suddenly I see atm, and it's perfect quality.

:)

Once they get their Paypal payment system fixed I'll be using this A LOT.

:D

Played "My Name is..."!

I've already got more than 300 tracks.

Their CS is fucking brilliant as well. I downloaded some Mozart symphonies, and track one of that particular CD was borked, just a couple of seconds missing from the track - serverside.

You ask questions via a tech support bit on the allofmp3-explorer application, no pissing around trying to go through faqs etc, just type the question in the box, and get an answer a bit later.

They refunded me the cost of the album, I didn't even ask them, of course they let me re-download that track just to see if it was a peer problem, but nope it was their problem. Can't say fairer than that.

Heh, cos when it's this cheap why bother?

;)

Plus it's also easier to find what you're looking for and have a guaranteed quality download.

Well for 60p for an album it's hard to say no.

Plus it's legal!*

I guess if I wasn't already subscribed to NG's it could be worth avoiding the hassle of P2P - but I'm already subscribed to NG's. So fleh.

They're the bestest juarez thing evereverever (if you use them right - i.e. a certain indexing service and a certain program to use index files from said indexing service).

Well I finally figured out how to work around them not taking paypal atm: paid for an xrost "card" through paypal and used that. :D

Currently downloading:

KT Tunstall: Eye to the Telescope
Green Day: American Idiot
Coldplay: X&Y
Sugababes: Taller in more ways

All for about £4 :D

Oh and they give you a 10% bonus, so replenish your account by $15 and they give you another $1.50, which is enough for a free album :)

Seriously good find folks. Thank you :)

Free? Fair enough.

Better quality though? How? What bitrate do you listen to your mp3s at?

I have to admit, I don't really notice the difference between 192K and 320K when I listen to them.
