Please dont tell me this is anywhere remotely close to release. It looks and feels like a half finished amateur half life mod.

The map is shit, graphics arent as good as screenshots indicate. The models are bad, the animation on the models is laughable, the guns look terrible, the movement and control is atrocious. Gamespy Arcade is shite. The GUI is crap, no console etc (i could find). Trust EA to fuck up all the utility and customisation of the quake 3 engine.

I was so looking forward to this too :/

Yeah... it's playing a little better as I get used to it, just wish I could sort out the damn flickering. :(

The sound effects are brilliant, though... :(

Sorry for the *bump* but I've now changed my mind about this demo. I've now fixed my 'flickering' problem and can play the game without suffering a fit or passing out. :D

The map itself is still poor and is below the standard of most DoD maps, though the others to be included in the game sound much better. MOHAA's equivalant of the RtCW Omaha map is so wide, for instance, that if you stand in the middle of the beach you can't see either end, so I'm told.

Deathmatch was a simply shit choice of game style for a modern FPS, though fortunately 2015 left the code for the other styles in the demo. Now my ASE screen is showing Team-Match and Round-Based-Match on several servers (though BW are sticking with the official Free-For-All :()

The slower-pace (purely in terms of movement speed) of MOHAA takes a short while to get used to, but once you have it kinda makes sense.

If you haven't downloaded it yet, well it's right here on BW FTP.

Hmm .. I really like this game .. shame that BW server is crappy DM but the right amount of people.
Jolt server however is a team game (wicked) but 31 people = WAY too laggy

Also (just noticed this) 2015 were forced by EA to reduce the texture quality to fit their 'approved demo size.' Okay, it happens.

BUT THEN not only do EA go and include Gh3ySpy Arcade in the download package (at 4.21MB), they also include a crappy Renegade video at 9.51MB, ffs! This is a fecking DEMO!

I have a 56k modem, fs. I could happily have lived my life without either of these shitty things.

Demo also has 20MB of faintly entertaining 'dialogue' but they couldn't have included a bigger map, they say. Oh, no...

Right. That's that. Off to bed.

Played on the BW 20 person server last night. Top scored easily when I did my first full round just by running round the rooms and corridors with a shotgun.

1.) Laggy !
2.) Jump doesn't seem to work too well.
3.) Laggy !
4.) Looked naff
5.) Laggy !

I don't like the idea of picking 1 decent weapon and sticking with it till u die. I know it's realisitic but it's dull. Gimme QW rocket-juggle + double shotty combos any day of the week.

I love it.

No probs with getting the demo to run, and runs smoothly.

Can't wait for the full game in January. According to a friend the single player game is fucking fantastic.
