Aye, those were the days! When everything was new and fun and... oh well.

As for legendary guilds, old Cutting Edge springs to mind (are they still alive by the way?), taking the relics for Midgard for the first time in my memory, and Killgorde and Wrathofsauron being interviewed on the official webbie about it :)

And you can't say legendary without mentioning Fellowship of Midgard. Although I only spent a month or so in the green uniform I have always admired their spirit and dedication to Midgard, and of course the reliable leadership of the Great Man with the Even Greater Hat - Ardamel :)

Imperial Dwarven Army too, what a crazy bunch... we used to have the best guildmeetings, 20 or so dwarves cuddled up in Haggerfel. Most were really lowlevel, we had maybe one or two people above lvl 35 and still we ended up running through Emain naked afterwards, killing the odd (and strangely terrified) mincer...

Last but not least Nazgul, where I left my heart leaving for WoW. Spent half of my playtime there, and what a great time it was. My first time RvRing with Naz was actually in a zerg of 4 (!) FG:s in Emain. We prepared for 2 hours, waiting to get everybody there, and then died 5 mins after takeoff from 1 FG leet hibs :) Remember when Beno was called Caer Nazgul back in OF? Those sure were the days...

Oh, and a big /salute to those of you who are still hanging in there!

Kind regards

They were my most fun times playing DAOC and will never be replocated. As a guild we spent most of our playing time in the Albion frontiers than anywhere else and respect to the Albs who came out to fight with us. We had some good battles as we played cat & mouse with a considerably larger army tracking us down which usually culminated in a final stand at Renaris. And when we wasn't running amok in Albion, it was protecting our own frontiers from invansion. I hardly saw Emain during my time in Cutting Edge and didn't miss it a bit.

And yes, those relic raids were the iciing on the cake. Killgorde was never interested in late night sneak attack relic raids. It was either prime time when the server population was at his peak or nothing.

Been through 4 guilds in my time :eek7:

Starting with the Jotun Horde who had to disband and reform when the GM quit, back in the days when only the GM could do anything so we became Ghosts of Valhalla (we had good times, running around 2fg in Malmo, Frontiers).

A breakaway element formed Brotherhood of Midgard and 2 years later we merged with Sarumans Hand to make a much larger and more effective guild. :worthy:

Good times were had by all and still are being had, and if Whoodoo says he will be turning the lights out in Jordheim he's going to be leaving me in the dark :twak:

Most of CE left for WoW so it's dead atm, we're quite a few old CE members in NoM though.
