I know this is an old post but thought it was worth raising again.

I was:

50 lb
42 shield
35 stealth
18 thrust

Also had (s******) longshot, volley, was saving up for IP.

Got sooooo pissed off with crap melee, spending all end to slam, then bleed or dot stops bow firing properly then taking infintisimally small amounts of dmg off them with long-dirk.

I respecced. Now on:

42 lb
18 shield
35 stealth
50 thrust

IP, aug quick 2, dodger 2
Fine, I don't block quite as much but dodger 2 helps alot and with bane I do silly amounts of dmg with no real noticable change in lb dmg.

Far, far, far happier.

50 Shield

I love this spec - very good for PvE and the best RvR spec I've tried. Using slam on an opponent is alot easier with 50 shield, and you block alot (not against dual-weilders of course).

40 - 45 - 50 LB ... not much of a difference imo.

way better than before imo, and honestly dont notice not having last penetrating arrow seeing that not many pbt'ers about these days

Yes I do - IF I block, which doesn't happen too often against dual-weilders. More often it's better to just slam and then fire arrows in them, rather than waiting and hoping for a block + brut.
