First of all read this thread FIRST:

Then maybe i did put somethign in the wrong way since it was PRELIMINARY PRICES not ESTIMATED PRICES. I know i did put it out a bit wrong so it was EASY to misunderstood that it was prices that came out AFTER A DISCUSSION WITH 2 OTHER ALCHEMISTS WHO DID SAY THEY WANTED SUCH PRICES TO AVOID A PRICE WAR!! <--- got LOGS of it.


And yes actually while my guild have tested the various procs availible i would personally be glad to pay 200G for procs since they proc a loooooot more then drop procs, in our duel tests.

I just like to point out that personally i've allways thought of taking 1.2-1.5X cost no matter what. Flame me, blame me, yell at me ..... if you don't like the cost .. don't buy ... spend your own 50P. And to all that says they craft for free ? just ROFL. you *nevah* craft for free, can't admit it? be a gal then.

Anyway prices are 1.5X cost.

how much is a top level DoT proc then?

how much is a top level reactive (ablative/DoT) ?

its something stupid like a 150% profit - wait for a guildie or a friend to get high - maybe you can get it a bit cheaper.

I don't see what the problem is. He is one of the highest Alchemists in the realm so he can dictate the prices. By next week or so there are going to be a dozen other Alchemists of a similar level and the prices will plummet due to all the competition.

Lomald can charge what he want but he will be quite disappointed when people never come to him in favour of the other much cheaper Alchemists. He will then eat humble pie, lower his prices to something reasonable and try to get some customers.

76g to make or thereabouts
Given that quality of tinctures is irrelevant... 76g. (i.e. retries isnt an issue)

The cost to make the stuff is here:

Top level DoT proc costs 75g 18s 16c
Top level ablavtive reactive costs 254g 10s 60c
Top level DoT reactive costs 252g 78s 46c


So multiply them by 1.5 and you have Lomald's costs. And that profit margin would give him an income pretty close to 1plat per hour crafting.

Repaying your entire alchemy-to-1050 investment in a day sounds like a good deal to me.
Shame it's a crap deal for everyone else :p

Come on give him a break

Got my 99% Partizan imbued for 95G with the top DoT proc by Lomald, tested it, loved it, and had same done to my MP Partizan and all other weapons.

95G, maybe that is over priced, maybe it isn't, but come on, to someone who can use the top level proc thats pocket change ! had about 5 weapons all done the same and not even noticed the money gone, and im not the richest of players either.

And im a crafting noobie, so spent quite awhile chatting about it all with Lomald who explained how it all works, so stop being fussy and get your weapons done if you want them, its not alot of money really.

Incidently the DoT is lovely, when it procs it seems to tick alot faster then what is says, lasts virtually the full duration of most fights, hitting between for 50-70 damage each time.

Give Lomald a break.

After a few months of being away of daoc i was really clueless at what alchemy could do for me.

But lomald still stayed friendly,explained everything to me etc.(k was abit drunk at the time,but he was still civilized and friendly)


The proc i had imbued to my sabre wasnt really that expensive,infact it is pocket change to any lvl 50,and i gave him double the ammount of gold he asked,because he was so nice mannered and very patiently with an ickle customer like me,so he cant be all bad.

Give the guy a break.
