Albums without duff tracks

It struck me yesterday that among all my albums, even among my ten or so favourites, there's only one album that, while not my top album ever, doesn't have one track I'd class as filler.

Even my favourite album ever has one, maybe two tracks, that I tend to skip.

The only one that doesn't is Catherine Wheel's Adam & Eve, which is storming all the way through imo.

Do other people tend to find this?

Rarely ever happens and it's mostly personal opinion.

The one that springs to mind for me is pearl jam - ten. It was one of my first loves and I do really like all the tracks on it. My favourites have changed as I've got older though.

Now that you mention it I don't remember there being a bad one on there actually.

What Leggy said, and Pearl Jam-Vs as well. I also think Counting Crows - August And Everything After is up there, Tool - Aenima as well(apart from the strange speaking tracks).

Physical Graffiti. A double album, I cant think of a bad song on it .

Don't think there's a song on Faith No More - The Real Thing that I don't like. Even the rather odd Woodpecker from Mars is quite catchy given the right moment :).

Blind Melons eponymous first album the same, I like everything on that.

Alkaline Trio - From Here to Infirmary

Eve 6 - Horrorscope / Its All in Your Head

RHCP - By The Way

GreenDay - Dookie

Gonna sound like a broken CD here - but the only album I listen to the whole way through and enjoy every single track of is Evanescence: Fallen.

All of my other favourite albums have at least 1 filler.

Bring me back to life is a poor song so there's that one out the window :) but each to their own.

I can't believe there are this many 'perfect' albums, unless people are just posting their favourites. I guess many people would disagree with me about Blind Melon so I'll let it pass :D

I'm trying to work out whether "Fitter Happier" on OK Computer constitutes "filler" or not... personally I'm not sure. If I'm listening to the whole album then it definately stays on, but I wouldn't just pick it out of the air.

Dirty frank was only on the import and never appeared on the original uk release. Same with wash.

Have you guys ever thought that the reason so many of your favourite albums contain fillers, is because they aren't that good? I'm being serious here by the way.

Belle & Sebastian - Tigermilk (perfect)

Pink Floyd - DsotM

Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

The Velvet Underground & Nico

The Shins - Oh, Inverted World

Felt - Poem Of A River

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Smog - Knock Knock

Orbital - The Green Album

Pixies - Doolittle

re: The Libertines, Radio America is clearly a filler, it's awful. Purely because they didnt put What a Waster on the first issue, which was criminal. Replace RA with WAW and I'd say you have an album without a single duff track

It's odd too that even with half decent bands' best ofs, they STILL manage to put filler on them!

Whilst I would agree with this post, and indeed agree that The Clash are the greatest band etc , I have one observation.
Loaded, the Velvet Underground album. Is the first song on tha album not "Who loves the Sun?" You think thats a a good song??

I think 'who loves the sun' is awesome, but i didnt put Loaded on my list because 'lonesome cowboy bill' sucks ass, so does 'cool it down'

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Is this the album they released after the Come On Eileen album? Is it the one with National Pride on? If so I will sexually touch you nightly if there is any way you could get a copy of it to me(alternatively I will pay in money cash).
