I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned Permission to Land, by The Darkness! (if you have, sorry, I'm blind)

Quality album, and one of my fave's.

Came 2001, great cd though.

In no particular order:
Nightrage - Sweet Vengance
Katatonia - Viva Emptiness
The Haunted - One Kill Wonder
Cult Of Luna - The Beyond
Opeth - Damnation
Dimension Zero - This Is Hell
Edge Of Sanity - Chrimson III
Evergrey - Recreation Day
Naglfar - Sheol
Nasum - Helvete

Alot of swedish metal, rangeing from grindcore to 70's inspired progressive rock.

Might add that I enjoyed to see Mr.Cornell joining up with the old Rage against the machine gang. Wouldnt mind if Morello had more room with his guitar though but hey im glad as long as there still working on putting out great music.

NP: Audioslave - Getaway Car

The latest machine head disc is probably one of this years most positive surprises. After two utterly dissapointing once's they return with the obvious sequel to there first release "Burn my eyes". Glad to see they came to there senses.

Overall I think it has been a year where rap/nu metal is finally dying down again. Not a minute to soon if you ask me. :p

I bought inme at the start of last year and liked it for the first few listens. But it's one of those albums I have grown to hate. I don't know why tbh as it isn't a bad album.

Outkast - The Love Below/Speakerboxx

Just started listening to The Love Below. 3 listens now. I now think it's the best of 2003 without doubt. Sheer class.
