So that explains it...
Was running with my group last night and we find 3-4fg albs in HW mg..We getting wiped first time so we say to go again cause the zerg will now be over...Second run campers still there 2fg this time on bm...Getting wiped again...
Third time we call the second Severance group for back up ...We wipe 2fg in hmg and 2 fg mmg...
Running all over HW no other albs...
We finally suicide to FS

If you wanna enjoy rvr , avoid zerg guys...Simple really

The reason you don't find fg fights against Albs in HW is because they need atleast 3+ fg to even find it.

There's always a reason for the zerg of Albs in HW, don't worry:

* Sorry, we had to retake Beno

* Sorry, was a report on a fg, ehh.. I mean 3fg! Mids here, we cannot allow that

* Sorry, we had to show our RR2 friends what Hadrians Wall is

* Sorry, we heard the pictish druids dropped a jewel with +3 int and we wanted to check it out.

Most fun fights in HW are against Mids, who sometimes bring 1fg too then you can have nice 1 vs 1 fg fights.

Average Alb-encounter is 3+ fg or 1fg totally not skilled.

First of all i only see one person potentially assisting on you, hes running towards the DRUID, not the warden.

The one on the right is meleeing a chanter pet. Embarrasing enough in itself.

and why attack the mezzed druid when you had an unmezzed chanter on the left?

Pff don't ask such hard question Tacti, You'll just confuse the poor warderzerger... I mean since when aren't chanter pets first target when zerging enemies??!?!?

Its the new Albion Defence army.

they are roleplaying to be defending the realm, they are commonly seen moving around with 3-4fg camping milegates in Hadri.

If any enemies of large quantities are seen, like 1-2fg enemies, they retreat and call upon Corranhorns armies of doom. Also known as 10fg alb zerg.

This is all done while cries such as, FOR ALBION!!!!, TO VICTORY FOR ARTHUR, and other such weird outcries are heard in a language you dont understand.

Hahaha, nice one Tacticus :) really funny

I've recently noticed that it's becomming more and more common to see fg+ Albs camp the Hadrian's Walls MileGates, and I'm a little curious as to what the point with this is? Is there really that many enemies coming through the HW MGs to warrant them being camped at hours upon end? HW used to be a good place to solo, but nowadays it's harder and harder to find solo enemies up there - they're all getting ganked by the MG campgroups.

Anyway, this was just a small whine because I'm getting frustrated with the declining numbers of solo areas... Odin's used to be good, but has fallen victim to the countless stealther MG zergs... ;)

Seen this over last 2 weeks but it seems to be around anything from 2-5fgs of albs, though was over 100albs there once

well obviously if this was a skillful game it wouldn't matter if you were hib, mid or alb. Grats on holding out, shame its not a skillful game.

Dunno about the skill, I've faced Warders, MM, SoTL, NP, PE, Eclipse etc and tbh, they are better players than the average ones. So I guess you are abit wrong at least. If they was skilless, I wouldnt remember them. Thus, the game in itself is infact a bit skillful to a certain degree. Not on same lvl as q3alliance for instanse <waves to liste and ziera> or some other fastpaced teambased FPS though.

Time teaches the one who pays attention in daoc. I cant put it better than that.

Wot a crock! Pressing the insta-cc buttons are not skillful and thats why 1fg hibs and mids can beat 2fg albs.

In my opinion the groups who are so called "skilled" simply know about things such as melee assisting, the order in which to kill, about not breaking mez, good places to ambush from and the very much ignored "skill" of protecting thy own healer. Your insta-cc buttons increase your chance of winning by 50%.

This ain't skill! Its simple knowledge that anyone can learn if the would bother to do so.

Skill is only possible in FPS games, and thats skill with a mouse.

DAOC is just a glorified paper, scissors, stone game but lopsided cos mids n hibs have an insta-win button.

Therefore, there is no skill in DAOC, only knowledge. Knowledge + insta-cc = always win.

The only way albs will ever be equals to midgard and hibernia is when they constantly have more players.

I know 1fg albs can beat 1fg mids or hibs but thats only when they have a balanced group and have get their long range cc off.

Hibs know they can form an unbeatable group if they have their RAs up when they go into battle. Would you called that skilled playing? I wouldnt either.

However, if this game had "against-enemy-player collision detection" and no insta-cc then we'd have strategy coming into play.

Bah I give up.

/em waits for a MMMWG (Massively Multiplayer Medieval Warfare Game) to come out.

Looks like Warhammer Online is the ticket for all haters of insta-cc :D

There are 100 standard, 10 mounted and 30 ballistic combat techniques that will make battle a very tactical and rewarding process.

See the FAQ

uuuh right

the stuff that you listed takes time to learn right?
aim in Q3 for instance takes time to learn and its knowledge to know how someone who just jumped will behave in the air so you can shoot off a rocket where he will land and take damage right? etc..

I seriosly dont understand your definition of skill mate :)

DAoC aint exactly pacman if thats what you mean.

The previous post i read was all about albs whining that Mids are whining because they are gimped, and now the Albs whine about i-win buttons that mids and hibs have. Good that I'm here to whine about the fact that albs whine.

Some reading for a monday morning, isnt it ?

Hahaha! What has knowledge to do with anything if you just simply can't play?
