The day Hibernia refuses to retake a keep on the grounds that is defended is the day this game finally gets the better of me.

The Albs who were online tonight know exactly what Im refering to...

Thanks to Xyna for organising this was fun..... shame our hated enemies dont really have the courage to do anything other than wait for us to leave.....

guess the fact that there is no TK for them to flee to plays a big part....

Funny cause as an Alb we never get any Mid retaking attempts.

Overall, I refer to the older thread. It's all been ranted before. You think it's fun defending (the massive RP is purely coincidental), we don't think it's fun being killed by spells and bash on doors. You can't make us play the way you want us to, nor can we.

In Emain you mean, coz there's hardly ever any Albs in Albion frontier. That's why Hibs sit and wait for Albs to come.

I would love to be a RP farmer.........

However it seems at the moment that we have the farmers in :

Armsmen' Xbow ---> hit everone once with bolts and hope someone finishes em off

PBAoE ---> if it doesnt kill them they will surely die soon nuff.

AoE ----> if i cant hurt em ill scratch and hope they die

Scouts ---> they can technically farm the rp due to amazing range but high risk of getting killed by stabbers.

Once again in defense of my kind ---> infil need to get close and personal to actually get any RP, to do that they need to be outside the keep, risking getting out of range for the rezz. Nuff said really.

Wait for respec, wait for GT AE in Earth Line, wait for Minstrel AE mezz ... we might have a chance against PbAE'ers (or 12 sec AE stun) at lord, that do up to 1000 dmg every 2 sec to anyone getting too close.

I said we might ... let's see how it works out after next patch.

Actually we did lose a keep we defended, when about 50 albs finally decided to show up.

Good idea bringing a handfull of infils, kept my stun busy like hell

A question I'd love to ask, all the simulacrums passing through the door, is that a bug or what? Got a nice screenie of simulacrums in the courtyard while you're still banging the inner door.

However, I enjoyed the first alb attack (2-3 fgs vs our nearly 2 fgs), was funny running after you outside the keep

If Albs ever decide to show up, it's usually in a lot more numbers than Hibs can muster. Only logical that we camp inside the keeps we take, and not in the middle of your aggro zone.

So, your saying we should turn up in groups of 8 every ten minutes so you can gank us?

Anyways, that wasn't what i was trying to say, we're hardly cowards for not turning up at an obvious farm-party, but if we are, then look to yourselves and mids and say it again, i been in mid keep raids where nobody showed up to let us farm, and hibs too, taken scathaig quite a few times and nobody has come.

Haha, plz tell me ur not a hib, cus the number of GAY enchanter pets that nuke u through the door with snare so u cant even run away quickly, then walk through the door and carry on nuking until they die, or u die
Pets need fixing, especially cabalist pets, why does the last pet proc a self dmg shield, it should be like amber pet but a longer stun, or maybe a healing pet, or caster pet like enchanters get :/

Wall stand off's becoming more and more common though these days, and can easily provide u with up to 30k rp while the rest of us, especially minstrels and paladins and friars can do very little (usually suicide and go to mid land or something).

I still love the way they nerfed sniper classes by adding see hidden, then thought hmm that was a bit harsh lets give all sniper classes camouflage. Minstrel, did someone say minstrel can stealth to? oh well they are just gimped skalds now, or gimped bards depending on how u look at it .
Imo minstrel shouldn't be affected by see hidden, sniper classes could hide behind trees, kill a mage and restealth before anyone got too close to damage them. Assasins always had to get close so there stealth was fine (very hard to kill a mage and run away now), minstrels also need to get close to kill stuff, yet their stealth is also nerfed :/

No, that's what Hibs do, and I know all about the effectiveness (or lack of) of that. So far when I'm doing anything that upsets the Albs enough to actually show up, they usually show up in 4-5 fgs. It takes a lot of organising to get Hibs into an army that size. Mainly because we don't have a population like Albion has, but also because a lot of Hibs are impervious to tactics and plans and just run off to get ganked in groups of 8. But then I guess every realm will have players like that.

You really should stop thinking of this game as a FPS with frag stats and start thinking of it as an RPG with warring nations.

To be honest, Hibs lack the numbers and the organisation to get up a keep retaking force fast. Mostly Hibs run off as soon as they have a fg at DL. We hardly ever gather at DC too. And because there's usually enough opposition/threats in Emain, Breifine and the Gorge to keep us occupied, we won't bother with retaking a keep until we have enough people available and properly organised. We will keep an eye on the relic ofcourse.

This discussion will go on and on until all 3 realms manage to move RvR to all 3 frontiers instead of just Emain. Lately there's been some good skirmishing in Odin's and Hadrian's, hope this is going to happen more often. Personally I'm kind of fed up with the zerging in Emain (including the sporadical Hib zerg) and am focussing on other frontiers.

several albs have seen 1-2fg hibs in a keep and say , hey lets have some fun , maybe even RPs

we bang down the doors woooohoooo
"hey whats those flashy bubbles near lordroom there ?"
half of the alb rush upstairs
half of the albs wasted by 2-3 mages that have been picknicking lordroom scared as hell to come 2 steps out and farming RP like crazy without ANYTHING we can do about it

that is why we take our own keeps back when there are no hibs inside ?

Your missing the point.... Im not saying you cant wait for the keep to be deserted, Im just saying its lame....

We been trying to raid albion a bit more to make a change from the normal Emain antics....

I doubt the RvR system was every intended to be held almost exclusivly in one zone (emain)

It should be scattered accross all 3 zones, in equal amounts...

Only problem is there is not much effort on Albs behalf to actually engage the enemy in their own frontier...

I see lots of Alb peeps on the boreds saying they are tired of not been able to make past AMG. But when we offer you and alternative to go fight us on your own frontiers you generally decline and wait for us to die of bordom....

No doubt that this is the ultimate tactic if you just want an easy life.... but surly you play the game to fight the enemy not avoid him?

Not to say that all of albion are like that (there were a few brave groups that showed up)

I must admit that mids fight in the 3 frontiers, the lasts weeks we are having nice fights in Odin´s until they zerg and camp that amg.

Anyway they try everyday to fight in Sauvage and Odin.

But the hibs??? Seems that Talivar is the only hib really interested in different fights.

I know Emain is your frontier etc etc etc but Hibs really love to run around Emain hills or walls.

That a circular argument really. Hibs go to Emain coz Alb frontier is empty and most Albs are in Emain; Albs keep going to Emain coz that's where all the Hibs are. Imho Mids are more active in all 3 frontiers. I'd guess 75% of the invaders I encounter in Albion frontier and 90% of the invaders I encounter in Mid frontier are Mids.

Yes, I'm a Hib, and a caster too.

No, I don't abuse bugs - but I've given up the hope of others to do the same.

Hell I don't mind being killed, especially when I deserve it. I don't mind getting zerged or roadkilled once in awhile, but I DO mind being killed by bug abusers. I rvr for the fun of it, I like taking keeps and doing fg vs fg or even less ppl combat, but every time I see people from albion they seem to run unless they heavily outnumber you.

/clap to the brave albs who showed up at the keep we were defending, and to the ones who showed up to take it back with superior numbers (that excluding the bug abusers...). Was fun battling your infils who seems to come in unlimited swarms The chainnuking you did on the gates effectively stopped the PBers from getting the hits they could have.

I'm not visiting Emain that much (well I'm still only 45.5), I prefer trying to find other roaming groups in the middie frontiers. Seems that Midgard offers more fun rvr than Albion does.

Oh yea btw, at least middies don't gather up at your corpse to team laugh at you because they just zerged you with a 10:1 ratio. Seems like laughing at people who get zerged is Albions preferred sport.
