ALB cheater, Thidranki - Arsepowa

Just so you know u little twat i will report you for standing inside MB bridge and shooting ppl with your crossbow.

He almost killed me with hes 50dmg/hit when i didnt see him, then he started to attack a hunter and killed him 3-4 times
and some other ppl.

Well that bug is used alot from all realms... always some ranged class that want to gain RPs by standing inside the bridge .... and how fun is it to cap out of the BG in a day or two ??... at least the good part is that they cap out quick...

we should ban report all that we have SS of and the SS have to show that u or anyone else can't target the one inside the bridge...

Hmmm good luck, i reported 2 monkeys from mid a few weeks ago to right now including chatlogs , half a dozen screenshots and testimonies from another half dozen people and they did squat. Same pair were back again each day for about 10 days doing the same thing.

It takes GOA quite a while to get around to investigating and dealing with each complaint, usually a couple of weeks I think. But if he was reported, and if the evidence can be verified by a GM, banned he will be - and deleted, if he's been warned before.

If you are referring to the arb polearm armsmen then im pretty sure his name is actually spelt arespowa. Im not 100% sure but you might want to check this as I dont think GOA will believe much of your statement if you've got the name wrong

Yeah, on closer inspection i cleverly noted that the git who apparead to be stabbing me was actually arsepowa not arespowa as i ealier assumed, i will thusly withdraw my previous statement...

Tis a shame though, the name is pretty funny and the player seems pretty good too. Why do people feel they need to cheat?!

You easy says that a person is a cheater. Arespowa is not a cheater, i`m 100 % sure cause is my friend, and i play a lot with him.

Bug abbuser? Think he did it 1 time and without thinking too much about it. He made a mistake but not means that he uses to don´t play fair.

Anyway Aucard call a person cheater is something too serious for me cause now he will have a bad name in this game. And you are talking about a bug abbuse not about a cheat.

Seems that you dont know the diference between Cheat and Bug, i`m not defending people who abbuse of bugs, but they aren´t cheaters.

Arespowa seems like an okay guy to me. I have seen him playing a lot over the last week or so and would be surprised at him being labelled a cheat. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't... I'm sort of sure he won't use this little bug again due to the overkill on this board. Calling someone a 'little twat' seems a bit excessive too.. maybe you should go and cool off somewhere, and consider the fact that DAoC is just a game before you continue in your self-appointed role of hangman.

Anyway, if you reported him, then surely the matter is now in their hands and does not need for you to keep spamming this uninteresting misdemeanour on these boards.

Well it might be a game (might even be a serious game to some) but by people cheating (not saying this guy in paticular, but more general) they ruin the game for others.

So might be a game, but if people don't want to play it with the rest of the us - thus cheating - they should go play a single player game where they don't ruin it for everybody else.

Cheaters (in online games - don't care what people do to themself) should be hung out to dry in public imo.

And yes - play fair

Bug abuse is cheating. No ifs, no buts, it is cheating.
From the CoC:
"Players undertake not to make use of any bug, not to use any undocumented functions and not to exploit any possible design faults."
If he was not a cheater upon finding this exploit he would have reported it to goa, NOT sat there shooting his crossbow at passers by.

Unfortunately, when you pasted the qoute, you omitted the phrase 'little twat'.... which, of course, would change it's context.

It seems kind of easy and reckless to simply have a pique about something and then without much consideration or much wisdom, spam your inane rantings on a public forum.

Supposing, hypothetically, that some unfortunate player were to innocently fall foul of one of the many little bugs in this game where you fall into or through something and find yourself in a supposed 'bug abusing' situation, ie accidentally entering another realm.... someone happens to witness this, takes a screenshot and proceeds to do all in their power, to have you banned and publicly pilloried... seems a little extreme to me..

The other thing, as mentioned, is that this has been reported to the powers that be and will, no doubt, be dealt with accordingly. There is absolutely no need for some frustrated 10 year old to burst a vein over it.

Oh and it really is tedious

I have full sympathy for somebody falling victim to a designflaw.
But staying inside a brigde and apparently shooting people - is not a victim, it is a person that found himself in a position and starting attacking others where he couldn't be damaged.
If it was an error of the game that made him fall into the brigde, then so be it - but I seriously doubt it was an error that accidently fired his crossbow/bow/spells several times, instead of moving out of the brigde.

But whereas everything are, I'm not talking specifically about this one incident, I'm (would like to be) talking about all the incident where peolpe "accidently fall into the brigde and find that the bow/spells start to fire repeatedly by accident".
If we tolerate one form of cheating, bug abuse call it what you like - the next one is not far behind.

You mention falling through a zonewall hole and entering an enemy realm. Well bummer, you have been a victim to a bug. If you keep moving around inside said realm, you are abusing a bug and being in a place where you have no place to be. If you can't find the exit. Log out and get GOA to move your character, if you have a clear conscious(sp?) - then you have nothing to fear.

I am sick of bugabusers and cheaters in a computer game, and they are ruining the game for the people that wants a clean game.
What I'm even more sick of - is the people defending them.

I know posting on BW will not alter peoples perception of bugabusing, and I know the peoples that post "person xxx is cheating by yyy" here aren't doing much good either.
But imo - rather do something, then nothing -as long as they report it to RightNow also.
