Thing is, Coogan had nothing to do with the writing of that film. I personally find him a pretty second rate actor.

I love the Alan Partridge series including him on Chris Morris's The News Today (or whatever it was called)

Pfft. On the radio it was On The Hour, which spawned the BBC2 series, The Day Today which led to Brass Eye which allowed Morris to do Jam, based on his Radio 1 series, Blue Jam.

He makes the role so great though. :)
