Just watched this again for the umpteempth time. Saw it for the first time when i was very young thinking it was some cartoon. Was only about 7 and it scared the shit out of me, only film to give me nightmares.

For those who havent seen it it's amazing, Great story line, great visuals. Can't believe it was made in the 80s yet no anime film since has even come close.

Anyway what i was tyring to get at; is there any anime freeks out there that can recommend me some similiar stuff?

Most anime ive watched has been completely shit (naturo etc) but i watched Ghost in the Shell the other day and that seemed alright, but a little short lived.

Wasn't wildly impressed with Fist of the North Star. Akira remains one of my favourite animations of all time.

I finally managed to get Cyber City Oedo808 on DVD which made me a happy Roo :)

I thought fist of the north star was pretty crappy personally
Akira was good tho, oddly enough i liked Princess Monoke too (altho only really as a watch once thing)

But then i like Naruto (altho they like to drag out storylines), and Bleach is my current fav. Both being ones you wont appreciate unless you watch more than a couple of episodes

Another one to note is Death Note, but thats not so much fighting but a thinking one

i dont know if these count but there was a season of them on film four and i saw My friend tohtoro (was singing the theme for days lol) the return of the cat, princess mononoke, kiki's delivery service and laputa castle in the sky and i loved all of em (return of the cat lmao at the fat one who eats everything tbh)

i only get to see what they show on telly but i love the style of animation from these its like every scene is an artwork

Not seen much (Well, any) Naruto, though I'm pretty sure I could watch a couple episodes later on or something. It actually any good?

Bleach I actually like, good concept to the storylines xD

Problem with naruto is they pad out episodes, it has a great storyline (somewhat generic at times), for example the flash backs, you will be sitting there things "for the love of god we saw that last episode". But well worth the watch just make sure you download/stream them so you can forward the boring bits where it is very obvious they are padding episodes.
Dont watch the english sub version, i watched acouple of episodes and it really is ALOT worse than the japanese subbed. Especially as they lose alot of the meaning throught translation whereas Dattebayo (DB) subbed ones have a little caption explaining concepts which are foreign to us

I sent you a pm of a player with most the episodes, but they are clamping down on them on youtube and such so might have some broken links

Basic Premise (lifted from IMDB):
Years ago, in the village of Konoha in the Land of Fire, a nine tailed demon fox (Kyuubi) almost brought total destruction upon the village. Thanks to the efforts of the village's chief, the Fourth Hokage, the demon fox was sealed inside a baby boy named Naruto. This series tells the story of young ninja Uzumaki Naruto and his adventures to become Konoha village's Hokage and most powerful ninja...

Ninja Scroll / Detonator Organ are good, its a case of checking around - not too many places (shops) do Anime - I got into it years ago when a friend got me Akira / Dominian Tank Police and lots of others.

Akira the movie in fact is a lot further on than the comics, as theres a whole series before the movie.
