this marks the end of my sick leave heh. Still not fully well tho [I still have my cough and my sinuses are a bit tattered], and I'll be at my docs again on friday to have a little chat.
Anyhoo, stand ready workies....for TdC is coming back!

no G, I'll prolly be beating the crap out of him just cos I tend to get all cranky and stuff when I am [or just have been] ill hehe.

Nah, I want to talk to him about tonsils as someone was telling me that there may be a connection to getting the flu alot. Now I have no idea is that is so or not, but I kind of want to hear it from him.

no, removal [of my tonsils] is more along the line I was thinking. if he starts yabbering about wanting to shove them up his arse I'll prolly be getting a new doc tho eep

Tonsilectomies at later ages (ie: when you're not a kid) has many many dangers and side effects.

It's estimated that up to 30% of adult tonsilectomies result in some or total loss in taste, amongst many many other complications.

Aye, mate of mine irl constantly gets tonsilitis. He was so fed up he decided to get them removed, researched it on the internet and was scared witless.

Decided living with tonsilitis for the rest of his life was preferable to the risk :(

Yeah, I had mine out when I was quite young (went in to have it done twice actually but that's another story) and always regretted it. I mean, what are they there for eh? They are a first line defence against infection, so I reckon hooking 'em out is a bad idea.
Keep those tonsils matey...

P.S. Did I mention adenoids?

I had my tonsils out in my early teens and all seemed well, but later that cold, wet night I heard a 'tap, tap, tap' at the window. At first I ignored it and pulled the duvet higher over my head, but the sound continued.

'Tap, tap, tap.'

'Tap, tap, tap.'

Eventually I could stand no more, and so ventured to the window to investiagte. I threw back the curtains and suddenly, silhouetted by a lighting strike, there they were! My tonsils! I screamed but it was too late! They broke through the window and beat me to the floor! I tried to...

Nyaah, forget it.

When I first started getting those messages I considered mailing these people to let them know they are infected but there's just too many of them! My philosophy now is, I'm not vulnerable so it's their problem.

I had my tonsils out when I was five. I'm so special, I'm the only child they had to sedate twice :)

Chances are your doc won't let you have them whipped out TDC. You'd have to be getting very sick very often for them to consider it. Your best bet would be to get the doctor to maybe see about a blood test, if you are anaemic or lacking any of those vits, a more likely reason to get run down and flu riddled. Trust me, I know. I'm quite possibly the most flu riddled person you will ever meet, and had to go through all that with my Doctor.
