I just wish my vote actually counted, i live in wigan controlled by labour nonestop since 1973. The local population of pie munching tard monkeys would vote labour even if they had hitler as party leader. Voting system in this country sucks balls give proportional representation so your vote actually counts.

I make sure to vote every election because it's the only way to protest at how bad the current party in power is. How they couldn't run a pissup in a brewery, how with their platinum plated pensions and down right outrageous expenses fiddling they don't have the slightest clue whats it's like for the ordinary joe when he gets ass fisted by his new council tax bill.

However i am happy to see labour lose badly roll on the next election so we can have a different bunch of gravy train riding muppets fuck up the country.

You all know how I feel about this tin pot governement, I am fucking chuffed.

On the subject of council tax bills though, we got ours dropped from band C to band B, without us doing anything, we didn't ask or chase they just sent us a letter. They also sent us a cheque for £890 for the backdated council tax we have paid over since we have lived here :D

My nan got some help from the governement due to her age etc. They also sent a council worker round and they re-insulated her roof for free. Some things they do get right.

They may do a few tokenistic things right, but the things they do wrong are unforgivable.

I'm delighted by the results so far. Just eagerly awaiting the London mayors announcement.

Don't spend it, cos next week you'll be back in Band C and they'll want it back with interest.

It was probably your neighbours that complained at how the house prices devalued when you moved in, having a scarecrow in the garden doesn't help matters :)

Labour are like Rafa Benitez - they keep asking for more money to make improvements but does anything really change?

Let's just hope the tories realise they got the votes simply because labour fucked things up and not because people think they're great.

All parties still have a long way to go to restore faith in the voters.

In government none of the parties have what it takes, after the general election little will change expect the blame.

I'm in Scotland and i'm absolutely loving this Tory domination! Labour need the biggest kick up the arse ever. I'm not saying conservatives or Boris will do a better job, but Labour need to understand that slacking will see them booted out.

I'd agree with this sentiment. I'll never vote Tory as I was one of those kids who had my milk stolen from me by the witch that was Education Secretary Margaret Thatcher.

However, this "New Labour" is as far removed from what the party is supposed to be that I'm just staggered how they can claim to be related at all to the pioneering founders.

And, as I've said before and will say again, it doesn't matter whose sitting in Parliament, the Civil Servants never change and they're the ones with the background power. You think Yes Minister was made up!? ;)

They'll never recover from this. No government ever has.

Cue Gordon Brown fucking things up as best he can, and a 2-term Tory government to put everything back together.

Regardless of whether the conservatives could do a decent job (personally I dont think they would do in their current state) its healthy to change governments now and again.

Labour promised everything, "education, education, education" delivered fuck all. I find it funny that they take credit for such a good period for the economy over the last 10 years yet take no responsibility now the bubble is bursting.

No party currently has any outstanding candidates. The whole lot are a bunch of muppets. Hopefully a shakeup might make the entrenched muppets stop picking dingleberries out of their butt beards though.

Personally I doubt Cameron has the back-bone to do well in power. Can't be any fucking worse than Tony though (and Tony's fuckup of a successor: best chancellor ever - like fuck!).

Think I'd vote for Bremner, Bird & Fortune myself.

hmm, need to take another dose of my apathy medicine :)

The Labour team, cabinet members and the media so far have been a bit non forthcoming in the complete assessment of the results as they all wait for the London result which looks to be a highly likely Boris win.
But the Labour cronies have been out in force saying "yes, its been a bad night, but "it's expected, just mid terms blues?!?!", it hasn't just been a bad night for Labour, its been absolutely catastrophic and a Boris win will give is a massive flaming gut punch. The result from last night was worse than the worse projection for Labour, an incompressible loss was losing over 250 seats. They lost around 300.... The Tories have absolutely dominated these elections and its about time this happened, the nation has been abused for far too long but Labour.
