So aye today is the day... although to my understanding server was meant to go up at 15:00GMT read somewhere else 16:00GMT... what time is it going live anyone know the official time? and if it is 15:00 or 16:00 whats taking it so long its already 32 minutes 43 seconds late.

To add an extra patch to improve the gaming experience and quality of gameplay, the official start time of the IGN Open Beta now is:

20:00 GMT (8 pm GMT)
(to check the current GMT time please refer to GMT: Greenwich Mean Time - World Time / Time in every Time Zone)

We wanted to add the extra update prior to launching the servers rather than to fix it shortly after the start of the Open Beta.

Users who have registered for the Open Beta will also receive an information e-mail about this in their inboxes shortly.

Aye BUT I think just before conan officially gets released they will give keys out to everyone. (don't quote me on that tho just what i think)

The start of the Open Beta is delayed by 2 hours to further test some of the changes in detail. We want to make sure everything works as intended before we open the servers to the testers.

The official start time of the IGN Age of Conan Open Beta is therefore: 22:00 (midnight) GMT.

God... after trying conan from 22:00 - 00:50 I must say its fucking abysmal... the combat system was ok I thought but the game in general looks absolutely horrid for the time its taken them to make it/system requirements on it... had it on high settings and it looked shit.


Not for me sadly :/ i'm a graphics man with MMO's these days.

if i'm going to invest time/money into a game I atleast want it to look good.

Seriously though, it's the best looking MMO out there, it beats other current MMOs (maybe except EVE) and future MMOs (WAR) graphics hands-down.
They need to twink the client quite abit, balance classes and gameplay abit. Otherwise I'd say they are good to go.
The Open Beta client is also an *old* client too...

I somewhat agree with the graphics, it could be better. But i don´t mind it really.. gameplay > all

i just got in closed beta, and the email says that the nda now applies from lvl 13 upwards, seeing as 13 is the cap for the open beta. so closed beta players can share their experience up to 13, but not beyond.

Hmm yes, apparently us Closed Beta folks can talk about things up to level 13 now. So umm... not sure if that includes comments about the game in general or not but.. I have to say after the latest few patches it's looking rather nice!

Graphics are more than good enough for me, and as someone said they piss all over other MMOs.

I played on openbeta 1 for a while but it was too laggy and couldn't log in half the time. I'm on openbeta 4 now and its much smoother.

The populations all say low but thats cos its broken, in reality 1 and 2 are pretty much at capacity.
