Just wondering how often the sorcs AE root is used by 44 Mind/31 Body specced sorcs? Does it stick often and is it worth it?

The reason I'm wondering is only due to see if it's not worth going for higher mind to get red pow reg. I don't care about damage, I only want to play mezzer/support/debuffer etc ;)

Thanks for any input!

its fucking handy! if your body specced, its a better itnerruptor than the mez and it also roots! not many targets have root immunity cos generally only the sorc will be using it, but half of any real has mezzes to fart out at will

Ah ok, so the 15% mez reduction (self) and pom 5 doesn't crack it to loose AE root?

Will there be any diff between 44 Mind Mez and 50 Mind mez?

Thanks :)

Im 47 Body 26 mind and its bleeding fantastico.

Usually we run with another mind sorc to do the mezzing, but last night we ran with a body sorc who was 46 Body 27 Mind, and we still managed to pull in 45k arpees.

I use my ae root alot, as i see some people bashing on the cleric i use it so he can leggit a bit further away, or if people are trying to run away from the MA it slows them down a touch too.

Personally i think its good, and if your worried about the lack of PoM just get some potions :p

I'm 44 mind 31 body, I respecced from 46 mind in order to get aoe root as its an essential tool for rvr after the initial mezzes have been broken/worn off. It is not often resisted (no more often than the 44 mezz imo) and often saves either my life or someone elses in the group.

For some strange reason though it hardly ever sticks when qc on a bloody pet :)

Ah well if you get pets on you can always just qc ST root or Mez and use qc AE mez :) Since their immunity is different from players ;p

Well if this is your goal, you should really go 44 mind/31 body. It's still bloody handy to get that last mezz and str/con debuff.

As for the 31 root, I really don't see why a higher level root spell is a better interrupter. It probably sticks more, but when you are using it for interrupt, you ought to be spamming it anyway. Besides, the higher level root costs more power.

As for root as first CC, I open with root quite alot. Whenever my group gets the jump, I root first. Simply to remezz them after purge/grouppurge. My lvl 31 root is more than enough for this job, it doesnt last too long, but it doesn't take enemies long to purge/grouppurge either.

As for damage, the level 50 lifedrain will provide you with more than enough firepower. It costs a shitload of power, but play with sense and some pots/MCL and you'll see you can make it through a fight without powerproblems.

Aoe root is very handy to give some chars some breathing space when they are bullied by melee chars..often in that stage of fight they are resistant against mezz, so aoe root does his job well then and ofcourse the additional interrupts are a nice bonus, though I mostly interrupt with amnesia or debuffs
