dudes, FINALLY my voda contract is up in about a month, and I am going to leave them (yay) but what phoneage shall I go with at my new provider?

I am considering the sexwee inducing LG G3, but also the Sammy Gal S5 because that is also sexwee inducing! I know nothing of phones and the available things on the market, so please help me out here.

Frankly, I only use my phonage for mobile data funtimes so stonking 4G / data performance is a must. Also, I enjoy being able to use the phone for longer than 5 mins before the battery goes flat. I am considering Spotify as it's advocates here (hi @Yoni, @DaGaffer!) as well as amongst IRL people are vocal and correct.

Note: without being a dick at all (*blinks*) I am not going for any Apple product. At all. Ever. Unless I get my contract at like...cheap as fucking chips if I go with them. Currently I can get the S5 at ~52 euros / month with 2GB 4g (an "offer" from Voda), and the G3 at 42 e/m with 5GB 4G limit from another provider.

so...help a bruvva out plx thx!

Thread hijack. I'm getting my PAC code from Orange this weekend. Got an S3 and it's fine. Want a decent sim-only deal.

Loads of mins, loads of texts, loads of data, cheap as humanly possible. Currently thinking this - £18/month for unlimited everything, but dunno if I'm being a tard.

Once I get it I need to figure out how to tether without 'em finding out too, but that's a whole other thread ;)

Not knowing very much about what's on the market and being a very satisfied Note 3 owner, I'll say get a Note 3.

Any high end Android is basically as good as any other high end Android. Anyone who tells you otherwise probably wears branded underpants.

Only if I get to help you out with your tame lesbos.

I kinda agree with what Raven's saying. Surely by now they're all much of a muchness? I hear the S5 has a heart rate monitor built in - so it may be good for your biking tho teedles :)

As above, most high end Androids are pretty similar functionally so it comes down to how much you like the aesthetics and screen. When are you switching? Might be worth waiting until September because that's when you'll probably get a raft of new phones as a response to the iPhone 6 launch.

One leftfield phone that's caught my eye is the OnePlus One. Its a new Chinese-made device that runs Cyanogen out of the box. Getting good reviews.

NB. Ironic that you're leaving Voda, don't know about Dutchieland but in the UK and Ireland Voda have a Spotify bundle...

heh my brother just recommended me the 1+1 on FB. also, my current provider of choice will let me stream Spotify for 10 euros a month with it costing me MB's out of the data bundle...which is fairly nice of them I guess. I'll just have to find out how many MB's we're talking about here and if that is worth 10 potatoes.

ha, it seems my bro can get me a 1+1 invite! that, an a 3GB 4G bundle works out about 15 euros / month cheaper than any regular phone + contract, although I will have to check which providers support it.

ah, more research: oneplus doesn't support the band 20 for 4G, which is exactly the band just about every euro country has chosen to have implemented. so, basically, it's either go with indie telco's with tiny coverage patches for it or not have the sweet bandwidth at all. that kinda rules out this phone :-(

I am using this phone, the gunmetal version and it is fantastic, especially the speakers, makes other phones sound ridiculous in comparison. I have this phone on the 3 network at £41 a month but you could probably get the same deal/better deal cheaper as a few months have past.

I'm an LG fan ever since having the Nexus 4 then 5, I am a fan because neither has never broke, froze or basically let me down unlike Samsungs and HTC's that I have owned in the past. I only wear Calvin Klein boxer shorts any other make tends to go up my anus when I walk for a while. So, I prefer LG and I prefer CK pants and I have valid reasons for liking both
