Advice please

Six RL friends, currently on Mid/Pry, are thinking of creating a group of six Hibernians on Excal and need advice on the best classes for the group. We intend only to group the characters with each other in an attempt to bring the fun back to the game.

We know we need a healer and shield spec tank but what other classes would make up this group..

Advice greatfully accepted

1 Mana Eld/Ench
Pick and choose other 2 classes.


Use pet focus pulls to xp.

Bard/Mana Ment : for MR
Druid : Heals + Spec buffs
Chanter : Pet + Focus
Other Pbaoer : Kill mobs on pet

This is a good grp for xp, and if you decide on RvR as your end goal, you have an excellent base for a well balanced RvR group as well. Just need to pick up another tank, caster, druid for nice rvr group or full 8 man xp group.

Pet pull is all well and good but can be slow.. the warden and hero can pull and taunt mobs while your two pbaoe-ers kill everything in sight... less downtime, esp since your bard wont have the best mana regen for the level you are (would need a mentalist to even think about mana regen 5).

thx for the advice so far. We want to do both. PvE then move onto RvR..but it will be exping mostly

If you think you 'll be able to be around lvl 50 quickly, don't be afraid to turn your characters to pve because of 1.62 respec line ( 2 shield tank are really interesting for pve, having a mana menta and a bard and respec the menta in sun after xp etc ).

Focus pulling is good for PvE, but wont do you much good in PvP.

For a group of 6 yer prolly best to go:

1.Bard (need speed for rvr)
2.Chanter (mana)
3.Warden (Healy Warden)
4.Sheild Specced Hero
5.LW Champ
6.Either Druid or Menta (Preferably Druid i guess)

This gives you 3 pve tanks, 3 healers, full aray of buffs and 2 full tanks to protect the mage one of which can deal some serious damage.

This is only an opinion tho, in reality any 6 players can make a fun group and do well if each character is played to its true strengths.

think this is the best setup if you plan to RVR
