Advice on SB spec?

Not sure what to do with it...never played non-tank type character. Since LA's getting murdered by Mythic, I suspect I'll go Critblade, so any and all advice would be welcome...started a Valkyn (sorry but I can't stand Kobbies

) and put 10 into Str/Dex/Qui...

Dont roll a sb, they will be the weakest assassin after 1.62.

I wouldnt roll a assassin at all, because both infiltrators and nightshades will get nerfed too.

Infiltrators will get there spec.pts reduced to 2.2 and dragonfang cut to 6 sec. Nightshades will lose avoid pain.

My Sb is 44 CS / 44 axe / 36 Venom / 35 Stealth specced... AT Stealth till lvl 44. I specced LA/axe till lvl 40 cause its easier to lvl with LA styles.

@ 1.62 ill respec to soulblade -> no venom but la styles after pa

Agreed whit Jox.

Don't roll SB.

But if you roll: I'd make norse +15 str +10 con.
Dex is easy to get over 300 whit buffs, and remember that your damage only depends on str. You don't need qui also, when you have healer's haste buff.

Guys let the man roll what he wants. Some of us don't roll chars just so they'll be the BEST..... it's called "fun"...

yes, but then u must play solo even if u r cave shammy and usually cave shammy cant play w/o tank/speed support.
or reroll on Albion.

i dont see any fun in playing solo with a group char which is no use for a group.

But yes, u can choice any spec for SB cos u r always soloing.

I get plenty of RVR groups tnx very much. And my response did not mean that being solo automatically equals fun. What I said was that people should stop telling Svart to roll a different class when his post was to ask what the best spec for SB was, not "oh please tell me what I SHOULD roll instead"

Imo under rr5 SBs are free rp to any infil/ns after 1.62, maybe you might win few fights, but that's because you have purge up.

I'd wait few patches to see if they upgrade SBs at all and wait for info from other SBs how they are doing whit the nerf.

Don't listen Remi, he is infil and wants to have new rp-cows, 'cos he knows that emain will be full of infils fighting for rare solo SBs

/hus hus Remi, go to alb boards or something.

Heh...all I wanted was to know what spec I should aim for for Critblade and/or SZ spec...I'm not interested in being "uberl3374tehwin" as so many seem obsessed with being (quick note: killing people in a video game does not confer manhood upon you IRL), my Warrior does well enough for that

Lyciana, when you say "AT Stealth", what do you mean?

By AT Stealth, Lyciana meant autotraining. Your stealth will autotrain to 1/4th of your level if it currently lies below it - without costing any spec points.

If you autotrain all the way up to level 48, you gain 77 points in total ( stealth at spec level 12 ). Might not sound like much, and it isn't either, until you realize you can hit 50 envenom/stealth at RR5/RR6 instead of RR6/RR7 for instance.

You do lose out of a lot of fun in the BG's by autotraining stealth since every other stealther can see you from miles away. ( and with the common curtesy nowadays probably spam /laugh at you - which is annoying until they miss PA and you mow them down with your higher specced weapons

)

I would agree with warlock_es and Hroft[BC]'s specs, as it is what I was going to suggest before reading the posts.

Would suggest starting to level as a SZ though ( especially if you start leveling now pre-patch ). You'll not have to depend on your (low) stealth to get the chains in, and with end-regen you can level really fast. At around lvl 40 you can start working towards your end-spec ( might have to use your single-line respec at lvl 40 to fix your spec; just make sure you plan ahead )

I'm personally speccing like this post 1.62

44+13 crits
50+13 axe
36+13 stealth
16+13 left axe + duelist reflexes 2 = 41
22+13 envenom

Just gonna take it one step at a time and see how things work out.

I aint even gonna bother to try, ive seen first hand what the LA nurf is like, and im not happy, i`ll prolly log my SB in once we get the patch just to remind why i rolled an infil.

If you continue to play your SB, now`s the time to macro /release on your QB because you`ll be spending more time on the pad waiting for the Gothis than actually trying to whittle down some caster for rp`s.

And with everyone getting a single line respec next patch, it wouldn`t supprise me if we get a large increase in slash infils and bladeshades.
