Advice on getting ADSL

Wires only install is as simple as "plug A into B, then into C".

Basically, you have a telephone socket. You need to purchase a micro filter which plugs into the telephone socket. This is used to split the single line into "telephone/voice calls" and the "data line". This micro filter in turn has two sockets: 1 for the phone and 1 for the ADSL modem. Plug each one into the corresponding socket.

You power up the PC, install the DSL modem drivers and then everything should be thumbs up.

Make sure you install a micro filter onto every phone socket in the house that has a phone on it - you still need to filter the data signal out if you are using a phone in that socket.

All in all, it's a 5 minute job. If you get stuck, i'll take digicam pictures and unload them showing every stage.

place in your postcode and see if your within the radius.
I havent heard what the deal is with the extended regions on if the connection is the same.

This is also great if , like me, your looking to buy a house and you can check that your buying within the ASDL region.
Price - doesnt matter - digital line does!!!

I've already expressed my opinions on this, but the best thing you could do is go to the ADSLguide forums and ask the question.
