I'm a huge fan of the Monkey Island and Broken Sword series of adventure games. And these days i'm waiting for Broken Sword; The Angel of Death to be released in september.

I'm looking for games like that. Pure story/puzzle/grab shit from your inventory and use it games.

Done all the Broken Sword, Monkey Island games and Grim Fandango.

So come on OT, i know there must be other addicts to this type of adventure games out there who is just sitting with a gem i have yet to play.

Help make the waiting period bareable ;)

Stil the best Adventure game I know is Zork: Nemesis. It´s a DOS or Win95 game, so you might run into some problems with the installation etc.etc. but it´s HIGHLY entertaining.
Also, try The Longest Journey. Good story and some nice puzzles.

Yes, Dreamfall haven´t played it though. I didn´t like the idea of changing POVs for some reason.
However.. it worked in Fahrenheit. That´s another recommendation btw, it´s not 100% an Adventure, more an interactive story. But I still liked the new game mechanics.

dreamfall was awesome... alot of cinematics though most people will get bored... I'd say at least 1/2 of it is sitting watching the cinematics ;)

Nothing beats Legend of Zelda series for Adventure/Puzzle games, especially Ocarina of Time on the 64. Grew up on those games, and still enjoy them to this day.

Syberia, both 1 and 2.

I have heard great things about these games as well and Dreamfall is very decent too from what little I have played. There are alot of good recommendations in this thread but 'The Dig' is a Lucasarts game and plays alot like Monkey Island 2 so you might want to give that a go first.

Little review can be found here but beware the spoilers...

If talking about point and click adventure, then there's three. Discworld, Discworld 2: Missing Presumed.... and Discworld Noir.
